Course Description This course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge
regarding the theories of personality. Special emphasis is
placed on different psychological paradigms in this regard
such as Dispositional, humanistic, existentialist, behaviorist
and social learning

Course Objectives The course aims to familiarize the students with:
Personality theories in psychology aim to provide a
framework to understand human personality,
including the causes and motivation for thoughts,
behaviors, and social interactions.
Learning Objectives At the completion of the course the students will be able to:
1. Students learn that personality is complex and includes
thoughts, behaviors, and emotions.
2. Students learn that several theories can be used to
explain and understand personality and that each theory
has advantages and disadvantages, and more than one
theory is needed to fully understand a behavior.

Lectures 32 Sessions of 90 Minutes Each
Attendance Policy A minimum of 70% attendance is required for a student
to be eligible to take the final examination.
The students with less than 70% of the attendance in a course
shall be given the grade SA (Short Attendance) in such a
course and shall not be allowed to take its End Term Exams
and will have to reappear in the course to get the required
attendance to be eligible to sit in the exam when the course is
offered the next time.
Grading The course will be evaluated based on the following
percentage:
