The manufacturer warrants this product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials,
under normal residential use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year for the original invoice
date. Shipping and handling fees are to be paid for by the customer. The manufacturer agrees, at
its option during the warranty period, to repair and defect in material or workmanship or to furnish
a repaired or refurbished product of equal value in exchange without charge (except for a fee for
shipping, handling, packing, return postage, and insurance which will be incurred by the customer).
Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction and proof of
purchase as confirmed by showing the model number on original dated sales receipt. Changes to
be made on the device, without the approval of the manufacturer, will void the warranty. If the
system is used in a way that is contrary to the methods or conditions outlined in the operating
instructions, the warranty conditions will be voided.
After delivery of the system to the user, improper handling, uninformed, inexperienced, and
inadequate maintenance by persons not trained by IMTEK causing misuse, and abuse, use in
different conditions from the environmental conditions specified in the guidelines given in the
contract, inadequacy of air and water installation, accident, impact, will void the warranty. This will
result in no maintenance work performed on the CNP by IMTEK, in case of any CNP related failures.

DISCLAIMERS
GENERAL
This manual contains important safety information about cryogenic liquids and Liquid Nitrogen
Production Plants. Please read this manual before encountering any cryogenic liquids; as well
as performing the installation of and using your system.
The CNP system is designed to operate safely when installed, it is also to be serviced in
accordance with the instructions provided by Imtek Cryogenics. Please refer to the
Maintenance and Service Manuel for technical service and maintenance information.
SPECIAL NOTICES
Three types of special notices; “WARNINGS, CAUTIONS and NOTES” are used in this
technical manual.
⚠ WARNING
WARNINGS call attention to actions or conditions that can result in serious injury or death.
⚠ CAUTION
CAUTIONS call attention to actions or conditions that can result in damage to the equipment
or in abnormal performance of equipment.
NOTE
WARNINGS and CAUTIONS, like other safety instructions, appear within rectangles in the
text where they are applicable. Because of their importance, they are summarized in this safety
section and in the General Technical Manual and should be read first.
NOTES
Changes to this manual since the previous issue are identified by parallel lines (‖) in the
margins.
WARNINGS
AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK. All electrical supply equipment must meet applicable
codes and be installed by qualified personnel.
This equipment must only be connected to a supply main switch with protective ground. Permit
only qualified electrical technicians to open electrical enclosures, to perform electrical checks
or to perform tests with the power supply connected and wiring exposed. Failure to observe
this warning can result in serious injury or death.
Disconnect the power supply before doing any work related to maintenance of components
supplied with electric power and avoid any uncontrolled connection before performing
maintenance, repair, adjustment procedures and all other non-routine checks or pressing the
emergency stop button. The system contains components with high voltage. All electrical
connections of the system should be analyzed carefully and should be done in accordance with
the general rules of electrical safety.
Disconnect the machine from any connected voltage power sources and drain off the pressure
in the compressor. In addition, the circuit breaker must be opened and locked. Personnel or
user(s) that does not comply with this warning could result in serious injury or death.
During the operation of air compressors and cooling systems, some parts may become
overheated. Before maintenance, wait at least half an hour after you turn off the device to
cool these parts.
Helium compressor is filled with helium gas. For removal of helium gas use a gas hose, relieve
Aeroquip supply, and output connections to atmospheric pressure. Uncontrolled pressure can
result in serious injury.
CAUTIONS
CNP series Cryogenic Nitrogen Plant is designed to operate safely if the user(s) is following
the installation, operation, and service manuals of the device. Please consider the following
precautions.
Installation, operation, maintenance, and repair work should be performed by only qualified,
trained, and authorized personnel. The operator must comply with all safety requirements and
safety regulations.
Use properly rated commercial equipment for lifting or moving the compressor. Make sure
compressor is held in balanced and stable position. Follow all applicable safety procedures for
overhead material transport.
If the compressor is wired for 380/415 (±10%) V3~ electrical service, connecting to a higher
voltage may damage the control circuit. Similarly, if it is wired for 480V3~, 60Hz, it can be
damaged by connecting to 380/415 V3~.
Always thoroughly drain the coolant from the cooling circuit if the compressor is to be shipped
or stored.
After starting the system for the first time, to be certain that the water lines are properly
connected, check that the outlet water temperature is warmer than the inlet water.
Make sure the system is properly connected to the water-cooling hose and water flow is proper
for the first start. Output water temperature must be higher than the inlet water temperature.
INTRODUCTION
The CNP Series Liquid Nitrogen Plant has been designed and manufactured to provide years
of trouble-free service. However, use and care should be done as specified by IMTEK
Cryogenics in order to prevent your device from decreasing in efficiency over time. The user
must perform routine controls and operation records of the device through specific instruction
provided in the operation, installation, and maintenance manuals. Routine controls, just a
few minutes apart, will help you to maintain your device's performance and use it safely for
many years. These checks should be done at least once a week, preferably every usage
instance.
The user must make sure that maintenance is carried out regularly and technical service
reports are kept. The user should take the values stated in this technical service report as
the basis for routine checks. So, the operation of the device from the registry can be
continuously checked. This will maintain optimal performance, reduce maintenance costs,
and prevent failures.
Routine records should be provided to IMTEK Cryogenics personnel for inspection at times of
maintenance or failure.
USER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
The user must use the device according to the Installation and Operation Manuals provided by
IMTEK Cryogenics. The user must fill the Logbook regularly. The user should perform routine
checks as well as cleaning operations on the cryogenic nitrogen plant, and avoid situations
that could cause damage to the parts of the device. Some suggested situations which may
cause danger are provided in the Operation and Installation Manuals. This should prevent
unqualified people from using the device. In case of failure or maintenance, contact IMTEK
Cryogenics Service.
⚠ CAUTION
PREVENT EQUIPMENT DAMAGE. Ensure CNP usage confines with the
instructions and guidelines provided in the manual. Do not let any
persons not trained by IMTEK Cryogenics perform maintenance on the
device.
DO DO NOT
Before service or
maintenance, plan for Do not change the settings
