TechTriad Hackathon
Introduction
The TechTriad Hackathon is a 36-hour challenge aimed at streamlining
the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process in heavy industries such as
oil, steel, and cement. Participants will develop website to automate
various stages of the RFQ workflow—from generating RFQs to tracking
vendor responses. This event focuses on creating real-world digital
tools to optimize procurement workflows and the tendering process.

Competition Format
1. Preliminary Round (Online): Participants submit a concept
proposal outlining their approach to automating the RFQ process,
including wireframes or technical architecture, based on the three
themes listed below. Here, students can participate in one or
multiple themes.
2. Final Round (Onsite at Kshitij): Selected teams will work on their
chosen theme during a 36-hour onsite hackathon as part of the
final round. Read the themes mentioned below to get the exact

TechTriad Hackathon Guidelines
General Guidelines
1. Deadline Flexibility: Extensions by one day, if necessary, will be
discussed and decided based on progress.
2. Team Size:
First Round: Up to 2 members.
Second Round: Teams of up to 2 members will participate in a
36-hour live hackathon on 17-18 January.

Submission Requirements
First Round:
Idea: Provide an overview of the project concept.
Approach: Detail the methodology for achieving the solution.
Wireframe/Flow Chart: Wireframes are mandatory for UI/UX-based
themes.
Second Round:
GitHub Link: Include proper commits and pull requests (PRs).
Deployment Link: Submit a working deployment link.
Code Quality
Maintain a proper folder and file structure.
Follow consistent naming conventions.
Ensure reusable and modular code.
Problem Statement - Hackathon Themes
Theme 1: UI/UX and Frontend
Objective: Redesign specific features/pages using Next.js / React.js.
Tasks: Revamp the following flows/pages:
Find Vendor Page
Create RFQ Page
RFQ Management
RFQ Details
Product-wise and Overall Comparison Chart
Magic Search Page

Use any design tool (e.g., Figma) for wireframing and prototyping.

Evaluation Criteria:
Design creativity and user experience.
Implementation of responsive and efficient frontend code.
Adherence to Workwise’s branding and design philosophy.
Theme 2: AI Integration
Objective: Streamline RFQ creation and tender document
summarization.
Tasks:
Upload a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to generate an RFQ with
structured data fields:
Product Name
Product Specification with Description
Quantity
Unit
Summarize uploaded tender documents (200–1000 pages) into a
2-page summary.
Implement a Q&A feature for clarification based on the uploaded
tender document.
Evaluation Criteria:
Accuracy of AI responses and data extraction.
Efficiency and seamless file parsing.
User-friendly implementation of AI functionalities.

Theme 3: Ensuring Privacy and Data Security
Objective: Build secure communication between buyers and vendors
using encryption.
Tasks:
Encrypt product names and quantities on the buyer side and
decrypt on the vendor side.
Encrypt price details on the vendor side and decrypt on the buyer
side.
Build a buyer dashboard to:
Display shared RFQs.
Show average prices for products from past quotes.
Evaluation Criteria:
Correct implementation of encryption mechanisms.
Functionality and user experience of data-sharing workflows.
Adherence to data privacy best practices.
Hackathon Rounds
First Round:
Submit the idea, approach, and wireframes/flow charts.
Focus on clarity of concept and feasibility of approach.
Second Round (36 Hours):
Develop a working prototype.
Submit a GitHub link with proper commits and pull requests.
Provide a working deployment link.

Webinar: Q&A session (First week of January - Tentative - details
will be mailed to all the participants for the round 2 participants)
First Round Deadline: 5 January
Second Round (Live): 17-18 January (36 hours).
Final Judging and Results Announcement: Within 15 days of
competition held

Prizes
Winners: Cash prize + Internship/Collaboration Opportunity with
Workwise.
Runner-up: Cash prize + Workwise Certification.
