RESEARCH SUMMARY

Research Synopsis: The Vega Showcase's Carterboys Brand Showcase Stand

Students from a variety of creative fields were given the opportunity to showcase
their distinctive brands, abilities, and academic projects in a polished and
captivating way at the Vega Showcase. The Carterboys brand was the focal point of
my stand, which was designed as a pop-up shop to represent the company's identity
and improve audience interaction. T-shirt designs, an A0 banner, framed
illustrations, a digital portfolio on a monitor, a printed copy of the portfolio,
business cards, and personalised cinema tickets with a QR code that led to the
Carterboys website were all part of the setup. The research done to guide the
stand's setup and design is described in this report, along with ideas gleaned from
Pinterest.
RESEARCH SUMMARY

Understanding the Showcase Goals and the Research Process


Professionalism, originality, and personal branding are highlighted
in the Vega Showcase. Reviewing prior showcases and concentrating
on stand designs that successfully conveyed corporate identity
while integrating useful, interactive components was the first step
in the research process. In order to determine best practices for
audience interaction and spatial design, this step involves
examining case studies and presentations.

Inspiration for Pop-Up Stores


The pop-up store concept, which blends high fashion, art, and
streetwear, is in line with Carterboys' philosophy. Three fundamental
ideas emerged from research on retail design trends: establishing a
friendly environment, preserving visual coherence, and adding
interactive features. Pinterest's images of pop-up stores were very
helpful in perfecting the design. Boards with shop logos, boutique
displays, and modular setups provided advice on how to use
dynamic layouts, well-lit focal areas, and clothes racks to draw
customers.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Visual Narrative
I looked at branding boards on Pinterest that demonstrated the skilful
application of banners, typography, and signs to make sure the stand
conveyed a unified narrative. For example, the large-scale designs utilised
in art exhibitions and urban shops to create a dramatic statement served
as the inspiration for the A0 banner. Inspired by minimalist gallery
displays, picture frames were arranged to serve as windows into the
brand's creative world.

Presentation of a Portfolio
The significance of interaction and accessibility was emphasised by
research on portfolio display. Examples of interactive trade show booths
on Pinterest served as the inspiration for a dual-format strategy that
included both digital and printed materials. The printed portfolio provided
a tangible, intimate experience, while the monitor was positioned to loop
around important projects, guaranteeing ongoing interest.

RESEARCH SUMMARY

Marketing Resources
The purpose of the business cards and personalised
cinema tickets with a QR code that connected to the
Carterboys website was to connect the digital and
physical branding experiences. The bespoke poker card
appearance was improved by Pinterest boards including
original business card designs. The development of
personalised movie tickets, which introduced a degree of
mystery and exclusivity, was also influenced by studies
on ticket-style marketing, which are frequently employed
in event branding.

Planning and Setting Up Spaces


The significance of zoning to establish flow within the
constrained stand area was brought to light by studies
on spatial design. In order to ensure that every element

exhibited without overpowering the visitor, Pinterest
provided images of pop-up stores and modular stands.
RESEARCH SUMMARY

Important Results and Uses


In order to ensure compatibility with the streetwear-inspired character of the
Carterboys brand, the study informed several aspects of the stand design. The
arrangement, which reflected contemporary pop-up shop experiences, attracted
customers by fusing interactive aspects with visually arresting elements. In order
to ensure a unified appearance and feel, Pinterest samples of boutique displays,
gallery layouts, and retail signage were crucial in forming the stand's design. All
things considered, the research-based strategy produced a polished, interesting,
and genuine portrayal of the Carterboys brand at the Vega Showcase.

PURPOSE STATEMENT
WE WERE GIVEN THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DESIGNING A STAND FOR THE VEGA SHOWCASE THAT REPRESENTS OUR INDIVIDUAL BRANDS AND
HIGHLIGHTS THE ABILITIES, PROJECTS, AND SKILLS WE HAVE ACQUIRED OVER OUR ACADEMIC CAREERS. THE CARTERBOYS BRAND, WHICH IS VERY
CLOSE TO MY IDENTITY AS A DESIGNER AND CREATIVE, WAS THE FOCAL POINT OF MY DISPLAY. MOTIVATED BY THEMES OF HIGH FASHION, ART, AND
STREETWEAR, THE STAND SOUGHT TO CREATE A "POP-UP STORE" EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD NOT ONLY VISUALLY ATTRACT VISITORS BUT ALSO
PROVIDE THEM AN UNFORGETTABLE AND PARTICIPATORY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BRAND. MY LOVE OF TELLING STORIES VIA DESIGN IS REFLECTED IN
THE CARTERBOYS BRAND, AND THE POP-UP STORE LOOK WAS SELECTED TO REALISE THIS IDEA. THE PURPOSE OF THE SETUP WAS TO STIMULATE
INTEREST AND DRAW GUESTS INTO THE CARTERBOYS UNIVERSE, WHERE EVERY COMPONENT—WHETHER APPAREL, IMAGES, OR DIGITAL CONTENT—
EXPRESSED THE BRAND'S VALUES OF ORIGINALITY, INVENTIVENESS, AND NUANCED ARTISTIC EXPRESSION.

DEPTHS OF THE MIND," EXAMINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STREETWEAR, HIGH FASHION, AND NARRATIVE. THE CONCEPTUAL DIRECTION, STRATEGIC CHOICES, AND OBSERVATIONS ON THE JOURNEY BEFORE

REPRESENTATION OF CARTERBOYS' PHILOSOPHY: A TEMPORARY SETTING WHERE INNOVATIVE CONCEPTS ARE APPRECIATED AND DISPLAYED. GOALS FOR VISUAL IDENTITY
THE PURPOSE OF CREATING THE VISUAL IDENTITY WAS TO:

DRAW ATTENTION: THE STAND WAS A FOCAL POINT THAT ATTRACTED THE AUDIENCE'S ATTENTION RIGHT AWAY WITH ITS EYE-CATCHING A0 BANNER.

PROMOTE INTERACTION: THE PHYSICAL AND DIGITAL BRAND EXPERIENCES WERE CONNECTED BY MEANS OF PERSONALISED CINEMA TICKETS THAT HAD QR CODES THAT LED TO THE WEBSITE. IDEA AND RATIONALE
THE IDEA BEHIND THE STAND WAS TO CREATE AN IMMERSIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT REFLECTED THE VALUES OF THE CARTERBOYS. THE BOOTH WAS SET UP TO STIMULATE INTEREST AND ENTHUSIASM, TAKING CUES
FROM GALLERY EXHIBITS AND BOUTIQUE POP-UP STORES. VISUAL CONSISTENCY WAS GUARANTEED BY THE PURPOSEFUL APPLICATION OF HIGH-FASHION COMPONENTS, SUCH AS STREAMLINED FONTS AND SIMPLE
LAYOUTS. IN THE MEANTIME, THE BRAND'S CONTEMPORARY AND TECH-SAVVY ATTITUDE WAS DEMONSTRATED BY THE INCORPORATION OF INTERACTIVE TOUCHPOINTS SUCH AS THE DIGITAL PORTFOLIO AND QR-
CODED TICKETS.

THIS IDEA SUPPORTS CARTERBOYS' GOAL OF BEING A MULTIDIMENSIONAL BRAND THAT IS EQUALLY SKILLED IN VISUAL ILLUSTRATION, FASHION DESIGN, AND MULTIMEDIA STORYTELLING. THE BOOTH EFFECTIVELY
CAPTIVATED VISITORS' ATTENTION BY PORTRAYING THE BRAND AS AN EXPERIENCE RATHER THAN MERELY A RANGE OF PRODUCTS. TARGET AUDIENCE AND DESIGN ASPECTS
THE DESIGN INCLUDED FEATURES THAT APPEALED TO THE EDGY, THOUGHT-PROVOKING AESTHETICS OF THE TARGET AUDIENCE, WHICH WAS CREATIVE SEARCHERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 35. AMONG THE
FACTORS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WERE:

INTERACTIVE FEATURES: FOR AN AUDIENCE WITH A PREFERENCE FOR TECHNOLOGY, THE MONITOR SHOWING THE PORTFOLIO AND THE QR-CODED TICKETS IMPROVED ACCESSIBILITY.

AT VEGA SCHOOL, THE CARTERBOYS DISPLAY WAS THE RESULT OF THREE YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT, EXPERIMENTING, AND LEARNING. AS I THINK BACK ON THIS ADVENTURE, I AM PLEASED WITH THE ILLUSTRATION,
PHOTO-EDITING, AND BRANDING ABILITIES I HAVE ACQUIRED. THE EXHIBITION GAVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMBINE THESE ABILITIES INTO A COHESIVE STORY AND SHOWED OFF MY CAPACITY TO PLAN AND
CARRY OUT INTRICATE DESIGN PROJECTS.

I AM AWARE OF MY ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, THOUGH. FOR EXAMPLE, FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DELIVERABLES WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITH IMPROVED TIME MANAGEMENT THROUGHOUT THE
RESEARCH PHASE. IF I HAD THE CHANCE TO RECREATE THE PROJECT, I WOULD ALSO LOOK INTO MORE INTERACTIVE COMPONENTS, INCLUDING AR INTEGRATIONS. THE SHOWCASE WAS A TREMENDOUSLY
REWARDING EXPERIENCE IN SPITE OF THE DIFFICULTIES. I ESPECIALLY LIKE TURNING INTANGIBLE IDEAS INTO PHYSICAL CREATIONS AND GETTING FIRSTHAND INPUT FROM GUESTS. I WANT TO KEEP PUSHING THE
ENVELOPE CREATIVELY, GROWING THE CARTERBOYS BRAND, AND DISCOVERING NEW WAYS TO USE DESIGN TO COMMUNICATE STORIES.

IN CONCLUSION
THROUGH A THOUGHTFULLY CHOSEN FUSION OF IMAGERY, INTERACTION, AND NARRATIVE, THE CARTERBOYS DISPLAY EFFECTIVELY CONVEYED THE BRAND'S VISION AND STRATEGIC MESSAGE. A MAJOR TURNING
POINT IN MY CREATIVE JOURNEY, THE EVENT CONFIRMED MY LOVE FOR DESIGN AND STORYTELLING.
