Notes:
This pattern is crocheted in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated, using US crochet terms.
I use x stitch crochet (yarn under, then yarn over) in this pattern.
The size of the finished toy is about 8.5 cm (including the straw) if crocheted using the indicated yarn
and hook.

Tools and Materials:


 2.3 mm hook
 6 mm safety eyes
 Cotton yarn in sport weight (50 g – 125 m), in color:
 White, for carton top and straw
 Pink, for carton top and bottom
 Rose, for strawberry fruit and cheek blush embroidery
 Green, for strawberry leaves
 Dark brown, for smile embroidery
 Fiberfill
 Scissors
 Tapestry needle
 Safety pins
 Tweezers (optional) – to hide yarn ends in small parts
 Cardboard or plastic sheet (optional)

Abbreviations:
Rnd – round
MR – magic ring
BLO – back loop only
ch – chain
slst – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dcinc – double crochet increase (2 dc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (Invisible decrease: insert the hook into the front loops of the next two stitches, grab
the yarn, pull it through both front loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull it
through both loops on the hook.)

Fasten off. Insert 6 mm safety eyes in the
middle of the carton, 6 stitches apart, between
rounds 22 and 23.

Embroider a smile in the middle of the eyes,


on round 23. The smile is 2 stitches wide and
curved. Use fewer strands of the yarn for smile
embroidery to get thinner line.

Strawberry – Fruit
With ROSE yarn

Rnd 2 sc, inc, (sc, dc) in 1 stitch,
3 dc in 1 stich, (dc, sc) in 1 stitch,
inc [12]
Rnd 3 3 slst, sc, dc, 3 dcinc, dc, sc,

slst to the first stitch.
Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Embroider small stripes on the fruit with white yarn.

Strawberry – Leaves
With GREEN yarn
Make the leaves: Picture 4 – Strawberry Leaves
(Make ch 3. Start in 2nd ch from the hook: slst, sc) x 3
Slst to the base of the second leaf.
Make the stem:
Make ch 3. Start in th 2nd ch from the hook: 2 slst.
Slst to the base of the second leaf.
Slst to the base of first leaf.

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.


Sew the leaves on the upper part of the fruit.
Don't cut the green yarn. We will use it to sew the Picture 5 – Complete Strawberry

Do not stuff. With WHITE yarn

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly
1. Sew the strawberry in the white part above the
face, with the position slightly tilt to the right
(Picture 7).
2. Stuff the carton top lightly. Don't stuff too
much to make sure we still get the rectangular
shape. Pinch the corner to make sure we get Picture 7 – Strawberry Picture 8 – Pinch the

*If you use cardboard or plastic sheet, cut it
according to the size of left, right, and back back
