MOTOROLA DYNATAC

The Motorola DynaTAC,


introduced in 1983, was the first
commercially available handheld
mobile phone. It was a
groundbreaking innovation at the
time, but it was bulky and
expensive, weighing around 2.5
pounds (1.1 kg) and costing nearly
$4,000. The DynaTAC offered 30
minutes of talk time and took up
to 10 hours to charge. Despite its
limitations, it marked the
