What’s Inside your NAS?

FILE STATION

There’s 2 main folder on your File Station.

• GENERAL, which is a mounted drive from PT MSTT’s Google Drive account.


Be careful when update or deleting files here, everything happens in GENERAL will also affect
PT MSTT Google Drives Folders and Files. Max capacity 50Gb.

• HOME, which your very own home folder. Not shared with any other users. Max capacity 10Gb

SYNOLOGY DRIVE

Upon clicking SYNOLOGY DRIVE, it will open up a new


tab which can be used to access files from any
platform, including desktop, mobile, and browser(Much
like Google Drive).

File Station vs Synology Drive

FILE STATION SYNOLOGY DRIVE

Status NOT RECOMMENDED/UNSECURE

• Capped download and upload speed at 2mb/s.


• Quickconnect will use synology relays if it doesn’t succeed in

● Login.

Name Tailscale

Status RECOMMENDED/MORE SECURE

• UnCapped download and upload speeds.


• Tailscale is fast, stable, and simple VPN.
Reasons
• Good for incremental deployment, with the ability to add
nodes as needed.

Steps:

● Call RSA for invite link.


● Click the invite link.
● Sign-in with whatever account you want.
● Click JOIN TAILNET
● Download Tailscale and follow the installation steps.
● On your taskbar on bottom right corner, locate tailscale icon,
● Right click and tap login
● Then login to your tailscale account
● Choose ptmstt2023 tailnet, and click connect
● Done! You can access NAS MSTT from anywhere in the world.
