I. Research Report. Write a research report on the results of the data collection and analysis.

Below are the


parts and the corresponding entries you must put per part.
Research Title
Abstract – a summary of the research in 150 words only; The summary should include the objective, the
method and material, and the findings
Introduction
a. 1-2 paragraphs; discuss the research topic
b. 2-5 paragraphs; present relevant scholarship (the summary of each reviewed study)
c. 1 paragraph; summary of the limitations of the reviewed studies
d. 1 paragraph; answer the question: which among the identified limitations is addressed by the study;
last sentence should be the research objective
Materials and Method
a. Materials – describe your research instrument; give a short overview of your participants
b. Method - discuss the procedure of your data collection and analysis
Results and Discussion
a. write an overview paragraph of what will be presented in this section
b. present the table/figure/visual illustration; discuss the table/figure/visual illustration in detail;
look for patterns, discuss the patterns
c. corroborate your findings- go back to your reviewed studies, look for concepts, findings, or discussion
that can support your findings
Conclusions
-3 paragraphs; first paragraph-summary of findings; second and third paragraphs-address the objective;
answers to the research questions
Literatures Cited – list of references in APA format

The research report is encoded on short bond paper. As mentioned above, all parts are expected to be
seen in the report. The paper has five major headings: Introduction, Materials and Method, Results and
Discussion, Conclusions, and LiteratureS Cited. Only the Materials and Methods section has subheadings; other
than that, the report is a continuous text. A third-person point of view is expected.

II. Research Defense


Instructions.
1. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation for your defense. The parts of the PPT are:
Slide 1 Title and names of the presenters
Slide 2-3 Background – what was the study all about?
Rationale – why was the study conducted (Present the limitation from
previous research and how your study addressed that)
Slide 4 Objectives of the Study – research problems of questions answered or
addressed by the study
Slide 5-6 Materials and Methods – present the materials and methods of your research
Slide 7-8 Enumerate the findings of the study
Slide 9 Enumerate the conclusions drawn in the study
Slide 10 Thank you slide

2. Keep the ppt slides formal. Do not add any animations or transition sequences. Do not add unnecessary
graphics. Do not put sentences on the slides. Use keywords, SmartArt, tables, figures, and illustrations to
present the information needed to be presented but do not put paragraphs of text on the slides.
3. All group members should act as presenters during the presentations. Questions will be asked after the
presentations. Keep the entire presentation at 5-7 minutes only. Ten to 15 minutes will be allotted for the Q
and A. The use of Filipino in the presentation is discouraged.
