Determines the number of patients and requests additional help if necessary
Check for responsiveness
Tap pt shoulders
Ask: are you alright? 2
Verbal stimulation
Check pulse and breathing in less than 10 s.
Check carotid pulse

Scan for chest movement
start CPR
Give O2

Position alongside the pt. and place hands in the proper place.
Give 30 compressions
Push hard and fast, allow chest recoil
Use appropriate airway

Use BVM (attached to O2 )
Maintain airway patency (head tilt – chin left )
Maintain cycles
Change compressor every 2 min without pause
Attach monitor / defibrillator
Use 3 lead cable
Switch on the monitor and turn into lead II

Maintain pt clearance and analyze the rhythm
Resume CPR
Get IV access
Prepare all needed equipment
Clean pts skin

Use tourniquet
Attach appropriate IV saline
Maintain advanced airway
Attach SPO2
Hyperventilate pt.
Prepare for equipment

Insert ETT, LMA
Check for the correct ETT position

Administer medication
