How do you handle the disagreement with the
manager
- When I disagree with my manager, I handle it by first trying to understand their perspective
fully. I believe in open and respectful communication, so I would schedule a private meeting
to discuss the issue calmly.
During the meeting, I would:
1. Listen Actively: Ensure I understand the manager's viewpoint and the reasons behind
their decision.
2. Present My Perspective: Clearly and respectfully explain my viewpoint, providing
any data or examples that support my position.
3. Find Common Ground: Look for areas where we agree and build from there to find
a solution that satisfies both perspectives.
4. Be Open to Compromise: Recognize that sometimes a middle ground or
compromise may be the best outcome, and be willing to adapt my position if needed.
For example, during my internship at TechDigi Private Limited, there was a time when I had
a different approach in mind for a project than my manager. I requested a meeting, where I
explained my ideas and the potential benefits. We had a productive discussion, and while we
didn’t adopt my approach entirely, we integrated some of my suggestions, which improved
the project overall. This experience taught me the value of respectful dialogue and
collaboration in resolving disagreements.
