This report aims to describe the information and features that should be included in the school library website.
Information for School Library Website
It is important to include the school library information such as opening hours and contact details of the librarian on
duty. This will be helpful to students who want to contact the library and librarian for further information. Another piece
of information to include is book recommendations. This would help many students to decide what to read. In addition,
including students’ work on the website could also increase the opportunities for students’ participation. Creating a
collaborative space would invite more students to visit the website.

Features for School Library Website


An important feature to decide on the website is the theme that would suit the school theme. school colours, mascot,
and the library images. This would make it easier for students to identify the school library website. Moreover, the site
navigation should be made clear and accessible. The labels should be descriptive and avoid having too many dropdowns
in order to make it is easier for students to find what they want on the website.

Recommendations
To summarise, it is recommended for the school library website to include the information above and features that are user-
friendly. This will encourage more students to visit the website and allow the library to evolve.
