What are the Emotional Changes of Girls. How would girls
take care for their body during menstruation.
D. Discussion Puberty is a period of time usually between the ages of 8 - 17
when girls begin to experience changes in their bodies,
including physical and emotional changes. It is the time when
girls begin to produce eggs and boys begin to produce sperm,
when you develop into young men and women.
Boys mostly experience puberty several years after girls and
some of the changes that happen to girls often happen to boys
too. Boys generally begin puberty 1 or 2 years after girls.

and development.
Puberty can be scary, painful, and embarrassing. Beginning
puberty means that you are growing up! Going through
puberty means that you are turning into a woman from a girl
and man from a boy.
MENSTRUAL HEALTH
Menstruation can also be called a period or menstrual
period. During menstruation, the lining of the uterus come out
along with blood through the vagina of non-pregnant girls
and woman until they reach menopause (which is when
women stop menstruating). Bleeding usually lasts anywhere
from 3 - 7 days (but can last longer) and usually happens
every month. The whole menstrual process usually lasts about
28 days from the first day of menstrual period. Most girls
start menstruating between the ages of 11 and 14, but there
are some girls who may start their periods at a younger age.
Even 8 and others that will not begin their menstrual period
until they are seventeen or older. Every single person is a
little bit different. Some girls may experience some pain
when they have their menstrual period in their lower back or
in their stomach. These pains are often called “cramps”.
Pre-menstrual Syndrome:
This is a collection of emotional symptoms you may
experience a few days before getting your menstrual period.
This is when the level of hormones in your body changes and
can affect your mood.
Some girls get upset or irritable.
Some girls feel emotional.
Some girls, get sad.
Some girls also experience physical symptoms as well,
such as cramps, bloating, fatigue, swelling or tenderness
in her breast and pimples.

Water for washing hands, body and reusable menstrual
cloths.

and disposing of sanitary protection materials, and for
