Social Connect and Responsibility involves the awareness, understanding and appreciation of connections among people, including between people and the natural environment. It focuses on interacting with others and the natural world in respectful and caring ways. The course is mainly activity based that will offer a set of activities for the student that enables them to connect with fellow human beings, nature, society, and the world at large. The course will engage students in interactive sessions, open mic, reading groups, storytelling sessions, and semester long activities conducted by faculty mentor. Social responsibility benefits society and the environment while lessening negative impacts on them. Companies engaging in social responsibility can do so in a number of ways, including making changes that benefit the environment, engaging in ethical labour practices, and promoting volunteering, and philanthropy.
