BASIC INTRODUCTION:
GRAPH:
A graph is a painterly representation of data or relationships between variables (the relative change
between two quantities of which one varies as a result of the other), demonstrated as points connected by
lines.
BASIC PURPOSE OF GRAPH:
There are many basic ideas for which the graph is drawn a few of it is given bellow;
Data Visualization
Pattern Identification
Comparison
Trend Analysis
Decision-Making
Communication
By attending these purposes, graphs assist better understanding and decision making.
FLOW CHART/GRAPH:
DEFINITION:
A flow chart is a visual or graphical representation of an algorithm (rules to design a specific
problem) to solve a practical problem.
We can estimate a flow chart as following points
A step by step map
A decision navigation tool
A process diagram
A problem solving visual aid
A sequence road map
Etc…
TYPES OF FLOW CHART :
There are several types of flow chart a few of it is given bellow;
Linear flowchart (a one path graph).
Branching flowchart (a non-linear graph with multiple decisions).
Looping flowchart (repetition of steps showing loops).
SYMBOLS OF FLOWCHART:
A flowchart is consist of following symbols:
An oval An oval generally indicates beginning an end of any process.
A rectangle A rectangle is used for representation of single action.
A parallelogram generally shows entry or output operation.
A parallelogram
A diamond indicates conditional statement (decision).
A diamond
An arrow is used to connect steps and indicate sequence.
DRAWING FLOWCHART:
start input process
end output decision
ADVANTAGES:
I. Communication and Understanding
II. Course Improvement
III. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making
IV. Error Reduction and Quality Control
V. Time saving
