GABRIEL(Angel/Groundskeeper)
Scene 1 Okay, boss, where are we headed on this fine Christmas Eve?
Yeah, we celebrate around here, too! And we don't have anything against all those
Scene 3 Christmas decorations and traditions. We just really get excited about the Noel part of
Christmas.
Yes, the rest of story. The whole reason Jesus came here. You see, God had to send Jesus
here because we needed a Savior. Our sin has separated us from God and the only way we
Scene 4
could have a relationship with Him again was for Jesus to come and save us. Mike, read
some of those other verses.
ANGELA (Angel/Front Desk Agent)
(excitedly rubbing her hands together) Oh, these holiday assignments are always so
Scene 1
exciting!
(very excitedly) We're so glad you're here! Hotel Noel is a pretty special place! We'll take
Scene 2
good care of you.
That's right! Like Gloria said, the word "Noel" comes from the word natalis, which means
Scene 4
birth. So, on Christmas morning we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
MICHAEL (Angel/Hotel Manager)
Okay. So, do you remember that whole "no room at the inn” thing from waaaaay back? It's
Scene 1
a little like that...but without the animals...and the Baby...and the shepherds.
Okay. (opens Bible again) Here we go. Romans 3:23 says *for all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God." And Romans 6:23 tells us the wages of sin is death. But here's
Scene 4
the good news! Romans 5:8 says, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us." NASB)
As much as we'd like to continue this celebration with all of you, it looks like they've
Scene 6
cleared the roads, and you can be on your way!
GLORIA (Angel/Head Housekeeper)
Scene 1 I hope it involves singing! I just love the singing assignments!
Oh. it's okay. We're used to that kind of reaction to our little hotel. I tell you what, Gabe and
Scene 2 Mike will take your suitcases to your room, and I'll get some hot cocoa ready for you. In the
meantime, just sit here and Angela will tell you all about Hotel Noel!
That is the traditional definition, Joey. But the word you know as "Noel" actually came
Scene 3 from the French word "Noel." And THAT word can be traced back to the Latin word
“natalis”. which means "birth."
NICK (Father)
Scene 1 Okay, everybody, I think we've got everything. Hop in, and we’ll be on our way!
Young man, you'd better watch your tone or there won't be any presents under the tree for
Scene 3
you tomorrow morning.
Okay, kids, this has been a great Christmas Eve. But it's late, and we need to get to bed.
Scene 5
Hopefully, they'll clear the roads in the morning, and we can be on our way.

CAROL (Mother)
It's strange, though. It doesn't show up anywhere on this GPS map. Oh, well. It's here! And
Scene 2
thank goodness!
(apologizing to the staff) I'm sorry, they're just really disappointed they won't have a big
Scene 3
Christmas celebration to wake up to tomorrow morning.
Scene 6 We can't thank you enough for your hospitality. This truly is special place.
JOEY (Son)
Scene 1 Yay! Christmas at Grandma's house! My favorite road trip of the whole year!
Hey, I have a question. With a name like Hotel Noel, don't you think this place would be all
Scene 2
decked out for Christmas? I don't see a single decoration.
Yeah, maybe we don't need all the decorations or presents or even the tree for Christmas
Scene 4
morning to be special.
MARIA (Daughter)
Yeah, we just HAVE to get to Grandma's tonight. It won't be Christmas if we aren't there
Scene 2
when we wake up in the morning.
No offense, Angela, but I still think you could have a few things here that let people know
Scene 3
it's Christmas. I mean, the name is Hotel Noel, after all.
Scene 6 Yeah, Mom, this was the best Christmas Eve ever!
