ABSTRACT

to a pressing need to
understand and manage
urban ecology. This abstract
provides an overview of
the multifaceted field of
urban ecology, exploring
its key components,
methodologies, and
significance in fostering
sustainable urban
development.
Urban ecology involves the
study of ecosystems within
cities, suburbs, and
metropolitan regions,
considering both biotic and
abiotic components. It seeks
to unravel the intricate
interactions between
humans, flora, and fauna,
and their surrounding
environment. This branch of
ecological science
delves into factors
influencing species
distribution, biodiversity
patterns, nutrient cycles,
and energy
flows within the urban
setting. Researchers
employ diverse
methodologies in urban
ecology,
including field surveys,
remote sensing, modeling,
and citizen science
initiatives. These
approaches
provide valuable data to
identify patterns and trends,
understand urban wildlife
behavior, and assess
the impact of urbanization
on natural habitats. The
significance of urban
ecology lies in its potential
to inform urban planning
and policy-making decisions.
By understanding how urban
ecosystems
function, it becomes
possible to develop
sustainable strategies that
balance urban development
with
the preservation of
biodiversity and ecosystem
services. Furthermore,
recognizing the ecological
complexities within cities
can help address pressing
environmental challenges,
such as air and water
pollution, heat island effects,
and loss of green spaces.
This abstract underscores
the importance of
interdisciplinary
collaborations between
ecologists,
urban planners,
sociologists, and
policymakers to devise
holistic solutions for
creating resilient,
ecologically sensitive cities.
Implementing green
infrastructure, promoting
urban green spaces, and
encouraging citizen
engagement in
environmental stewardship
are among the initiatives
that can
enhance the well-being of
both humans and nature in
urban areas.
In conclusion, urban
ecology is an
indispensable field of
study that illuminates
the dynamic
relationships between urban
dwellers and their
environment. Embracing its
principles can pave the
way towards building
sustainable, livable, and

Palindrome Checker Form: This project is centered on the
development of a client-side interface that allows users to input
a string and determine whether it is a palindrome. A palindrome
is defined as a sequence of characters that remains identical
when read forwards or backwards, with optional disregard for
spaces, punctuation, and case sensitivity.

The solution is implemented entirely in the browser using

client-side technologies, primarily HTML for structure, CSS for
styling, and JavaScript for logic. The form captures user input,
processes the string to normalize it (by removing non-
alphabetic characters and ignoring case), and performs a simple
comparison between the original and reversed versions of the
string.

The core objective of this project is to demonstrate efficient

string manipulation and logic execution on the client-side
without server interaction, offering immediate feedback and
enhancing user experience through minimal resource usage.
INTRODUTION

The growing population

of urban centers
necessities the study of
interaction between living
organisms and urban
environment, which is
defined as the environment
surrounded by man-made
structures, such as
residential and commercial
buildings, paved surfaces
etc [1]. Within this scope,
urban ecology developed
as a branch of ecology in
the last few decades.
According to United
Nations [2], in forty years’
time, two-third of the
world’s population will be
living in growing urban
centers, thus it is apparent
that urban ecology is fairly
important
Project Overview:- A palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or
other sequences of characters that reads the same forward and
backward (ignoring spaces, punctuation, and capitalization).
This project aims to design a user-friendly form that checks
whether a passed string is a palindrome or not.

Problem Statement:- Develop a client-side application that

takes a string input from the user and determines whether it is
a palindrome or not, considering the following constraints:
1. Ignore non-alphanumeric characters.
2. Ignore case sensitivity.
3. Provide real-time validation.
Objectives:-
1. Design a simple and intuitive user interface.
2. Implement efficient palindrome checking logic using
JavaScript.
3. Ensure compatibility with modern web browsers.
4. Provide clear and concise feedback to the user.

"Design A Form To Check Whether

A Passed String Is Palindrome or Not"

A palindrome is a word, number, phrase, or other sequence of

characters which reads the same backward as forward. There
are also numeric palindromes, including date/time stamps using
short digits 11/11/11 11:11 and long digits 02/02/2020.
Sentence-length palindromes ignore capitalization, punctuation,
and word boundaries.
The word palindrome was introduced by Henry Peacham in
1638. It is derived from the Greek roots 'again' and 'way,
direction'; a different word is used in Greek, 'carcinic' (lit. crab-
like) to refer to letter-by-letter reversible writing. In recent
history, there have been competitions related to palindromes,
such as the 2012 World Palindrome Championship, set in
Brooklyn, USA. The longest palindromic word in the Oxford
English Dictionary is the onomatopoeic tattarrattat, coined by
James Joyce in Ulysses (1922) for a knock on the door.

Palindrome examples-
Below are a few example of Palindrome
1. Mom
2. Madam
3. Dad
4. Level
5. civic

Scope:
This project focuses on client-side scripting using HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript. The application will consist of a single form with
input field, action button, and result section.

Key Concepts:
1. Palindrome definition and properties.
2. JavaScript string manipulation (regular expressions, substring,
etc.).
3. DOM manipulation and event handling.
4. HTML form design and CSS styling.
Expected Outcomes:
1. A fully functional palindrome checker form.
2. Improved understanding of JavaScript programming.
3. Enhanced skills in HTML, CSS, and client-side scripting.
4. A user-friendly application for palindrome verification.

Program:-

<!DOCTYPE html >

<html>
<head>
<script type="text/JavaScript">
function myFunction()
{
var str document.getElementById('txtbox').value;
var result checkPalindrome(str);
alert('The Entered String ""+str+" is ""+result+");
}
function checkPalindrome(str)
{
var orignalStr.
str str.toLowerCase();
orignalStr str;
strstr.split(");
strstr.reverse();
str str.join(");
var reverseStr = str.
if(orignalStr reverseStr){
return 'Palindrome':
}
else
{
return 'Not Palindrome':
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<form>
<h4><a href=""></a></h4>
<input type="text" id="txtbox" placeholder="Enter String" />
<input type="button" onclick="myFunction()" value="Check
Palindrome" />
</form>
</body>
</html>

Output:-
Conclusion
The form achieves the goal of checking whether a passed
string is a palindrome in a simple, user-friendly, and
efficient manner. With clean, scalable code and real-time
feedback, it provides an engaging and practical solution
for palindrome verification.

The user will be able to easily check if their string is a

palindrome, and the form will display the result
dynamically on submission.

The form captures a user-input string.

• The system processes the string to check if it reads the
same forward and backward.
• The result is displayed to the user, stating whether the
string is a palindrome or not.

1.Form Structure: Use an <input> field for the string and a

<button> to submit the form.
Include a <p> tag to display the result.
2. Input Validation: Use the required attribute to ensure
the input field is not empty.
3. String Processing: Use JavaScript to remove non-
alphanumeric characters (.replace(/[\W_]/g,'')).
• Convert the string to lowercase (.toLowerCase()).
4. Palindrome Logic:
• Reverse the string using.split(), .reverse(), and.join().
Compare the processed string with its reversed
version.
