Topic: Some people believe that children should study all

subjects at school, while others think they should only

study subjects they are good at or find interesting.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
There is disagreement in current educational conversations about whether
students should learn all topics in school or focus primarily on subjects
they excel in or find compelling. This essay will consider both viewpoints
before providing my own for this phenomenon.

On the one hand, supporters of an extensive curriculum claim that

exposing pupils to a diverse variety of topics is critical to their intellectual
growth and future success. It claim that a well-rounded education provides
students with a diverse skill set and knowledge foundation, allowing them
to adapt to future problems and opportunities. For example, a student who
succeeds in mathematics but ignores humanities may miss out on
interpersonal and critical-thinking abilities that are required in many jobs.
Furthermore, many educational systems demand a diverse range of topics
for access to higher stages of school. Studying them all can boost a
student's chances of achievement in tests and other educational tasks.
Therefore, proponents of studying various subjects argue that it can result
in well-rounded individuals with numerous abilities and a wider
comprehension of the world.

However, enabling students to select subjects depending on their ability

and enthusiasm has various advantages, the most significant of which is
increased motivation. In fact, by exploring their interests and personalizing
their education to their particular goals, students may choose subjects
that are relevant to their professional aims, desires, and learning styles.
This improved sense of autonomy may encourage an ambition to study,
leading to more devotion and, ultimately, superior academic
accomplishment. In addition, allowing students to pick their own classes
allows them to concentrate on certain areas of interest. They may explore
deeper into issues about which they are interested, obtaining profound
understanding and expertise that will be beneficial for their future careers
or educational pursuits.
In conclusion, while children must have a well-rounded education, it is also
vital to allow them to focus on their interests and skills.
