SCIENCE PROJECT (2024—25)
Students of class IX and X will have a Science Project from the chapter ’Natural
Resources’ and ’Management of Natural Resources’ respectively.
Each section of class IX and X will be divided into 5 groups comprising of 7-8 students. It
will be done by the teacher in charge (i.e., Physics/Chemistry/Biology teacher of that
class/section).
Each group will be assigned a sub-topic from the chapter.
A group leader will be appointed for each group who will delegate the work to the
members of that particular group.
Group members will contribute to preparing the project. They will work individually or in
groups and share the details with his/her members. Survey, investigation or data
collection can also be included if it has relevance to the topic.
The content of the project must be the same for a particular group.
The Project File should be simple, impressive, and have a maximum of 15-20 pages only.
Students must attach Annexures I, II and III (i.e., Cover Page, Declaration and Table of
Contents) in their project file. More emphasis should be given to the content rather than
decoration.
Each member should make a separate handwritten file for CBSE evaluation that must
be submitted by the end of the first term.
The project will be evaluated based on:
i. The project file (to be submitted before the project presentation)
ii. Seminar presentation on the project
(to be presented in November 2024)
lll. The seminar presentation of the project can be done through charts,
activities like skits, drama, role play etc.
The maximum marks allotted for the project will be 5 marks.
