Some people think that the internet has brought people closer together while others

think that people and communities have become more isolated due to the use of the
internet.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own
knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.

Outline of body:
Body 1 : Internet bringing people closer together
-connecting people all around the world-> social media platforms -> maintain
relationships and make more friends.

Body 2 : Internet leading to isolation.

-Spend more time on internet can hinder face to face skills -> making relationships
challenging.

Solution:

A lot of individuals are of the opinion that people are more likely to connect
together. In contrast, others think that communities are becoming more isolated.
This essay closely examines these two viewpoints and voices my concern about
this issue.
On the one hand, the internet is significantly connected individuals together by
allowing them to connect and communicate with others from all parts of the world.
It provides social media platforms for sharing information, ideas and also
experiences. For instance, social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
link people across continents which help old friends reconnect and allow relatives
living in different countries to stay in touch and share updates about their lives.
On the other hand, opponents argue that while the internet helps people connect, it
often creates shallow relationships and feelings of loneliness. When people spend
more time online, they may reduce their interaction. This lack of face to face
socializing can harm real connections making relationships challenging. In
addition, spending too much on screen time can lead to isolation , affect mental
health and decrease involvement in community activities.
In conclusion, while the internet brings people closer through instant
communication it also causes increased isolation for some individuals and
communities.
