LRIT Checking Procedure
1. Preparation
Prior to testing, check that following points are in normal condition.
1. Self Test (F7-7-3: Diagnostics test).
2. PV TEST (F7-7-1: PV Te4st).
3. Status Monitor Screen
- C/N is OK.
- Position data is correct.
- Course and Speed is correct.
- Current NCS is LOG IN.
- MES Status is Idle
- GPS Status is 2D or 3 D.
F5-1 DATA REPORT SETTING has nothing
to do with LRIT. DO NOT SET in this
Polling/Data Report process menu, otherwise extra data is sent out.
2. Data Reporting Procedure
(This can cause failure of test.)
Polling data report is automatically done from LES in the following process.
1. Download DNID from LES to MES.
When above 1 and 2 is finished, DNID can be confirmed by F5-3 Data Network ID .
2. Acknowledgement from MES to LES.
3. Download Program from LES to MES.
Note: Above steps 3 and 5 may be done simultaneously.
4. Acknowledgement from MES to LES.
5. Download Initiate command from LES to MES.

6. Acknowledgement from MES to LES.
When step 6 is finished, “Running Report program (Poll)” is displayed at part (b)
below.
7. Start Data reporting from MES to LES.
During sending data report, Data Report is displayed at part (c).
On completion of the Data Report, “Successful Data Report” pop-up message is
displayed at the center of screen and following is printed out.

Reference) Enabling/Disabling DNID
DNID can be enabled or disabled as follows:
1. Press the [F5] key followed by the [3] key to show the Data Network ID list.
2. Press the [↓] or [↑] key to choose desired DNID from the data network ID list.
3. Press the [Enter] key to enable or disable the DNID as appropriate. An asterisk
appears next to the DNID when it is enabled.
Note:
If a DNID is disabled during data reporting, “running data program(poll)” is
displayed and polling is cancelled.
4. Press the [Esc] key twice to return to the standby display.

NEVER DISABLE DNID
DURING LRIT TEST
DO NOT SET UP MES AS VMS (FFA and etc.) TERMINAL BECAUSE:
1. "RUNNING DATA REPORT" AND "DATA REPORT" ARE NOT
SHOWN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. ALSO NO PRINT OUT
OF DATA REPORT.
2. EXTRA DATA REPORT SUCH AS POWEROFF/ON, GPS FAILUARE
REPORT ARE SENT OUT IN VMS MODE. SERVICE PROVIDERS DO
NOT KNOW REASON OF SUCH DATA.
2. VMS MODE CANNOT BE CANCELLED IN THE FIELD.
