Students’ guidelines for accessing zoom classes conducted by school
Zoom is a video conferencing tool which will be used by students to attend classes
online and find an interactive classroom session conducted by teachers.
Download the Zoom Cloud Meeting App from Play Store/App Store.
(Android/IOS).
The app appears as thus,
A meeting in Zoom can be joined in two ways:
o A Meeting Link is provided.
o A Meeting ID and Password is provided.
Teachers will send you a message with the Meeting Link/Meeting ID and
Password for the Zoom Meeting through Whatsapp.
I. If Meeting Link is provided:
o On clicking the Meeting Link, the following screen appears:
o Open With Zoom. You will be re-directed to the Zoom App.
o Enter your full name (student’s), class (promoted class) & section and
ID Number, when prompted. Click on OK.
o The following screen appears:
II. If Meeting ID & Password is provided:
o Open the Zoom App. The screen appears thus,
o Click on ‘Join a Meeting’. The following screen appears:
o Enter the Meeting Id (provided through Whatsapp). Click on Join
Meeting. The screen prompts you to enter the password. Enter the
password (provided through Whatsapp). The following screen
appears:
o Turn on the ‘start video’ by simply tapping on the screen to start the
class. The student is now visible on the screen.
o Select the audio input – Speaker/Headphones on the top left corner of
your screen.
When the meeting ends, click on the leave option found in the top right
corner of the screen in the zoom app.
