displayed graph is chosen by [Select graph] menu.
RNFL, Retina, GCL+, and GCL++ out put the graph of the regression line which uses the area which
calculates the Super Pixel grid centering on the macula of the selected thickness.
The regression line displayed on graph area is calculated using the data from Baseline to the next
Baseline.
Eyesight and intraocular pressure display the graph of each measured value.
The color of the line of a graph changes according to introductory notes (each eyes, an inspection
method, etc.)
49
cpRNFL can be chosen only when the inspection data which is the target of optic disk analysis is
displayed. In case of 3D Wide scan and other cases, RNFL, Retina, GCL+, and GCL++ can be
chosen.
When choosing cpRNFL, the thickness of the layer chosen with the [layer combination] menu is used.
In the case of eyesight and intraocular pressure, Subjective, and IOP can be chosen.
In other than eyesight and intraocular pressure, the kind of graph is chosen with a [Graph type] menu.
Average graph is a graph that plots the average values of the grid area. Detail graphs are three
graphs which plotted the average value of the area of the upper part in a grid area, and the lower part,
and the whole average value. Detail 2 graph is a grid area of cpRNFL (T, S, N, I). There are 4 graphs
by which the average value in each is plotted.
When there is only one data for a display, the graph of a regression line is not displayed.
If the point of the age before the age of Latest is clicked, the data of the age can be changed into
Baseline.

In the graph area, the graph displayed differs depending on the screen displaying one eye or both
eyes. In case for both eyes, graphs are displayed according to the setting of Graph 1 of each of the
left and right eyes.
In case of a right eye or a left eye is selected and a graph is displayed, a graph which followed a setup
of Graph1 on left-hand side, and a graph which followed by a setup of Graph2 on right-hand side are
displayed. (If a left eye is selected.)
51
When data information area, result image area or graph area is clicked and data is chosen, the color
of the data information area of selected data becomes orange. (Except for the data set as Baseline or
in case of excluded data). It scrolls automatically so that an image of chosen data may display to a
result image area.
A perpendicular line is displayed on the plotting point portion of the graph area of selected data in
orange. Baseline (the oldest data) is chosen by default.
Moreover, the area from Baseline containing the data which graph area is chosen to the next Baseline
is expressed as the color which smears away and expresses as the color which made the color of
Baseline penetrate.
When graphs other than eyesight and intraocular pressure are being displayed, an exam property will
be displayed if the plotting point on a graph is right clicked. When [Add Baseline] button is clicked, a
baseline is added. The data of Latest cannot be set as Baseline.
A maximum of 8 Baselines can be set up. If 8 Baselines are set, the [Add Baseline] button will change
to [Delete All Baseline] button. If you click the [Delete All Baseline] button, all the Baseline will be
deleted.
When [Exclude data] button is clicked, it will except this data from the calculation processing of a
regression line. The excluded data is displayed as “X” on the graph.
When including excluded data once again and an exam property is opened by the same procedure,
the [Exclude data] button changes to [Include data] button. Press [Include data] button. In the first
Baseline, the [Exclude data] button is not displayed.

OCT Angiography images and Density Map may be displayed locally dark due to
local signal intensity reduction of the OCT image.
OCT Angiography is not a replacement for Fluorescein angiography. Even if it
can be observed with Fluorescein angiography, there is a possibility that it cannot
be observed with OCT Angiography.
The value of the blood vessel density is calculated based on the intensity of the
OCT Angiography image and it does not quantify the actual blood vessel density.
Therefore, when the OCT Angiography image is low quality, the repeatability of
NOTE the numerical value may decrease. For the image quality of OCT Angiography
images, refer to “15 Appendix Example of OCT Angiography Image”.
Please note that due to inherent differences in vessel density calculation
strategies between the 3D OCT-1 (Type: Maestro2) and those from other OCTs,
results from the 3D OCT-1 (Type: Maestro2) are not interchangeable with those
from other OCTs. Users are advised to use their clinical judgment when making
comparisons between 3D OCT-1 (Type: Maestro2) vessel density results and
results from other OCT devices.
The Angiography is an optional function. The license for the demonstration (99-
day trial period) is granted with IMAGEnet 6. Please try the function. To purchase

How to calculate Disc Topo parameters
(1) DA
The RPE edge points, which are detected radially from the Disc center, are regarded as the Disc
detection points. The inside of the closed curve that connects all the Disc detection points is
regarded as the Disc area, and this area is calculated. An approximate plane that is calculated
from all the Disc detection points is defined as “Reference surface”. Parameters are obtained
when observing this reference surface in the vertical direction.
Reference
Disc detection point
RPE surface
(2) RA
The area between Disc area and Cup area is Rim area. This Rim area (DA-CA) is calculated.
(3) CV
The volume of the area is surrounded by the reference surface and ILM.
CV
103
(4) LCDR
Square root of CDR
(5) VCDR
The ratio of the height of the rectangle circumscribed with Cup area against the height of the
rectangle circumscribed with Disc area. (Red line distance/Blue line distance)
(6) CA
When moving the reference surface for the given distance (optional setting is possible: Default is
120μm), the moved surface is regarded as "Referring surface". The intersection of the referring
surface and ILM is regarded as the Cup detection point. The inside of the closed curve that
connects all the Cup detection points is regarded as the Cup area, and this area is calculated.
Default height is
120μm.
Referring surface
104
(7) RV
The volume of the area surrounded by ILM, referring surface and the perpendicular line of RPE
edge points.

15 Appendix
Example of OCT Angiography Image
This chapter shows tips for getting good OCT Angiography image. Here, a good OCT Angiography
image means an OCT image has high Image Quality and image intensity is uniform in the whole
image.
Especially, since the numerical value of the blood vessel density is calculated based on the image
quality of the OCT Angiography image, deterioration of the image quality greatly affects the reliability
and reproducibility of the numerical value of the blood vessel density.
The followings show examples of OCT Angiography image as reference for actual capture.
190
Insufficient image example
・Low Image Quality
191
・Eye movements are large during capture, motion artifacts can be seen, and discontinuities of blood
vessels in OCT Angiography image can be seen.
