1. How to Fix the Battery Drain Issue in Windows 10
There are many ways to fix the battery drain issue in Windows 10. Some of them are:

 Prevent Apps from Running in the background

 Turn on the battery saver
 Disable the fast start up
 Modify power setting on network adapter and etc.

1.1 Prevent Apps from Running in the background

Preventing apps from running in the background is one of the method to fix battery drain issue in
windows 10. To disable the background apps:

1. Navigate to Start  Setting  Privacy

2. Select Background apps at the left, and then at the right side put the “Let apps run in the
background” switch to off, or individually choose the apps that you don’t want to run in the
background and toggle them off.

1.2 Turn on the battery Saver

The next method is to enable the battery saver in order to extend the battery life by limiting the
background activity.

1. Navigate to Start Setting System

2. At Battery options:
a. Click “See which apps are affecting your battery life” to find out the battery usage
from the open apps.
b. Check the “Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery fails below”
checkbox and move the slider to a suitable position.
c. Additionally select “Lower screen brightness while in battery saver”.

1.3 Disable the fast start up

The next method is to force Windows 10 to fully shutdown, by disabling the fast start feature.

The next method to fix the battery drain issue in Windows 10 is to modify the power settings on
the network adapters.

1

Other Suggestions to Resolve the Battery Drain issue.

A. Replace the laptop's charger and always use a branded charger, to extend your battery's
life.
B. If your laptop's battery is old, probably its capacity has dropped and should be replaced.

2. How to Fix Your Keyboard Not Working in Windows 10

There are multiple possible things that can cause trouble when it comes to your peripherals. You
might be dealing with hardware issues, or something could simply be wrong on your system
itself.

Why keyboard is not working?

1. Your keyboard is damaged. Physical damage can cause issues when you're trying to use
your keyboard. Especially in the case of a USB keyboard, make sure to inspect both the
body and the connecting cable for any signs of damage.
2. Your battery is low. If you use a wireless keyboard, ensure that the battery is charged. If
needed, change the battery.
3. Your drivers are missing or outdated. Driver updates are needed to ensure your
computer parts function as intended, even if Microsoft doesn’t natively support them. If
the correct keyboard drivers are missing or outdated, your device may not work.
4. You’re using the wrong USB port. You may have plugged your keyboard into a USB
port incompatible with it. You may also have a damaged USB port that needs to be
replaced.
5. Your power settings are poorly configured. Windows 10 has many power-saving
options. One of these functions allows your computer to turn off inactive devices,
possibly turning your keyboard off.
6. Windows 10’s Filter Key bug. A known bug in Windows 10’s Filter Key feature causes
issues with typing on the login screen. At the time of writing, Windows 10 updates
released by Microsoft seem to fix this.
7. A new major Windows 10 update. Sometimes major Windows 10 updates can break
things on your computer.

You can do many things to get rid of this issue.

2
2.1 Update your Driver
Outdated drivers can cause a whole bunch of issues on your system. Make sure to update them in
order to possibly fix any issues with your keyboard on Windows 10.

1. Press the Windows + X keys on your keyboard and click on the Device Manager option
from the menu.

2. Expand the Keyboards menu by clicking on the arrow next to it.

3. Right-click on your keyboard listed in the menu and choose Update Driver.
4. Allow Windows 10 to look for the newest driver on your local computer or online, then
follow any on-screen instructions.

3. Laptop Display Problem

Laptop display problems can make you very concerned because screens can be very difficult to
replace. However before you take it to a service center, here are a few tips to solve your laptop
display problems by yourself.

3.1 Laptop doesn’t turn on

If your laptop suddenly turns off and doesn’t turn on, then there are a couple of reasons why this
is happening. The most common reason for your laptop not turning on is that the AC adapter is
malfunctioning. If the AC adapter is completely dead, then you need to purchase a new one. If
the DC jack is broken, then try adjusting the plug’s angle in its jack. If a couple of lights are
turning on but the device is still not booting, then you might need to replace the DC jack. If it
isn’t either of these problems, then the issue might lie in the motherboard of the laptop. The only
way to solve this is to get the major parts replaced or to buy a new laptop.

3.2 Computers turn on but no display

If your Computer does not display there is a poor connection between your computer and
monitor. In this case, reconnecting the two devices is very likely the solution to your problem.
Here is how to do it.

1. Press and hold the power button until your computer turns off.
2. Unplug the video cable which connects your monitor to the computer.
3. Check the port connectors on your computer and on the monitor
Note: If any connector on your device is bent or damaged, you’ll need to take the device
to a repair shop.
4. Check to see if your video cable is damaged. If the video cable is fine, reconnect your
computer to your monitor. Or, if you have another video cable available, try connecting
the two devices using the new cable.
5. Try turning on your computer to see if it can boot normally.

6. How to create a Bootable USB using RUFUS
What is a Bootable USB?

A “bootable USB” is a regular USB storage device (like a USB stick or external hard drive) that
has an “ISO image” of an operating system saved on it. An ISO image is an archive file that
contains all the information found on an optical disc, such as a CD or DVD. This could, for
example, be a Windows installation CD. Rufus is one of several programs that allow you to
create an “ISO image” on a USB stick.

To create a bootable USB using Rufus, all you need is:

 Your ISO of choice, e.g. Windows 10

 The latest version of Rufus (available online from https://rufus.ie)
 A spare USB stick (an 8GB USB should be plenty for Windows 10 but make sure you
have one that’s large enough for the ISO you’re using).

Once you’ve got these ready, just follow these steps to make your own bootable USB:

Step 1: Open up Rufus and plug your clean USB stick into your computer.
Step 2: Rufus will automatically detect your USB. Click on Device and choose the USB
you want to use from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Make sure the Boot Selection option is set to Disk or ISO image then click
Select. Rufus will open a file explorer browser window; locate the ISO image you want
to burn onto the USB and select it.

17
Step 4: You’ll generally want to create a Standard Windows installation, and Rufus will
automatically detect the correct Partition Scheme based on your device, so keep the default
settings as they are. However, you can also change these if you want.

Step 5: Give the Volume label a name of your choice, or leave it as it is, and once again leave
the default settings for File system and Cluster size. Now click Start.

18
Note: if the USB you’re using isn’t large enough, you’ll get an error message you letting you
know. In this case, you’ll need to start again with a different larger USB.

Step 6: You’ll get a warning saying that any data on the USB will be destroyed (this is normal).
Click OK and Rufus will start creating the ISO image on the USB.

Step 7: Once Rufus has finished creating the ISO image on the USB, you can close it and your
bootable USB is ready to go!
