Assignment Title: Projection of Plane.
Date of submission before: 26 Oct 2024
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q1) An isosceles triangle ABC having its base AB= 40 mm and altitude 60 mm is resting on the HP
on its base AB. Draw the projection of the plane when its surface is inclined to HP at an angle of 450
and the base AB which is on the HP is making an angle of 500 to the VP.
Q2) A Square Plane of side 40 mm has its surface parallel to and 20 mm above the H.P. Draw it’s
projections when a) A side is parallel to the V.P. and b) one side is inclined at 300 to the V.P. and c)
All sides are equally inclined to the V.P.
Q3) A rhombus having diagonals 70 mm and 40 mm is resting on the VP on a corner contained by
the longer diagonal in such a way that it appears as a square in elevation. Plane of the rhombus is
perpendicular to HP . Draw three view of the rhombus and find its inclination with VP.
Q4) A circular plane of 60 mm diameter is resting on HP. Draw it’s front and top view.
Q5) A circular plate of diameter 60 mm is resting on the HP on a point of its circumference. The
plate is inclined to HP in such a way that the plan appears to be an ellipse of minor axis 35 mm. The
plate is perpendicular to VP Draw three views of the plate and find its inclination with HP.
Q6) The one side of a regular hexagon of 30 mm side is in HP while the opposite side is 45 mm
above the H.P. and incline 300 to V.P. Draw the projection of plane and find surface inclination with
H.P.
Q7) A hexagonal plane of 30 mm side has one of its sides on the HP and inclined at 450 to the
VP.The surface of the plane is inclined at 450 to HP. Draw its projections.
Q8) An equilateral triangle ABC of side 50 mm is resting on V.P. Draw it’s front and top view.-------
