Doomsday
My name is Isagi Chigiri. I’m imprisoned on a giant rock named earth. My cell, the cold
slanted walls of my cell, the gloominess and depression that surrounded me. Sometimes, I really
do wonder what life was like back then, before it all happened. My mother died in those attacks
on our planet, my father was never around before then. I’m all alone now, though I don’t feel
lonely, I just don’t feel at all. Life is boring, meaningless at that. We sleep, get served terrible in-
humane meals, and go to work, whatever that may be for the day. We’re imprisoned and need a
way out, my people are working themselves to death. Why were we chosen for this? Hundreds of
planets and they chose us.
The cell block leader called a meeting. We discussed regular stuff like who would sweep
the dusty cold floors, clean the walls, fix the guards gear, and daily stuff. An older fellow
stepped up towards the end to make a suggestion to the people. He said that there was a world
outside of this all, that he lived in it long ago. “You people must fight for it, for I am too old, my
time has come but yours hasn’t. Do not be afraid of the unknown.” The guards dragged the man
away to a dark room. We heard screams minutes later almost as if the guards were sending us a
message. After that day unions started forming. There were many strikes, boycotts and whatnot.
People even began plotting a revolt against our enslavers. We still had no knowledge of these

creatures, what they were, where they came from, what they wanted. But we followed their rule,
aimlessly.
One night I was really thinking about the old man's words and I couldn’t help but wonder
what life would be like without these creatures ruling over us. I decided to plan my own revolt,
an attempt to overthrow the government.
We began the next day planning. We started making weapons, tools, anything that was
useful. There was a crater in the back of the cell block that we hid all of our supplies in. The
guards seemed to dial back a bit. There would be massive time gaps in between shifts giving us
time to prepare. We knew there was a huge spaceship above our massive prison, and I would like
to bet anything their ruler or commander is in that ship.
“Men, today is the day. We have been preparing for months, you've all been so brave. No
one is forced to go on this mission, the likelihood of success is slim to none. But anybody who
will please step forward.” A long pause went over the crowd after I spoke. I thought I was the
only one, but then a man stood up. Tall, blonde guy, he said “We didn’t do all of this for
somebody else to fight our own battles, get up cowards.” When he said that hope swept the
room, everyone jumped up and yelled, I couldn’t see anybody who was still sitting down. I had
my army.
Our plan began unfolding as the guards shift ended, meaning we had around fifteen
minutes. We all picked out our weapons; spears, axes, blades. We started in the main hall
clearing our way out. We knew we were towards the back of the building, as our cell block was
Q. As we moved along the hall we broke into each cell block and recruited as many soldiers as

we could. Three hundred brave men, moving down that hall, but it was quiet. Where were the
guards? Their shifts should've started by now.
As we approached cell block A, we heard a loud beating outside the main gates. I was
ecstatic to see the outside world for the first time in my life. We knocked the big doors out. On
the other side was a massive shock, we were nervous but not scared. A huge army of these
creatures fully armored, some with swords, others with these devices that could hurl light at you.
The old wise man once described them as blasters, or guns. We ran head on, no fear. Bodies
dropping like flies on both sides of the field, blood, blue and red shed and filled the beautiful
sky, making an eerie blanket, darkening the once bright sun. The smell of the fresh air was
soothing though, and the tall green towers that shook in the wind. This world was beautiful.
Spears were flying past me as were shards of light. I didn’t stop, I murdered as many as I could
see. The beasts made my life a living misery and it was now karma's chance to get it back.
As the last light shard was shot and the last body dropped, We paused in awe, we had
won. The battle with the odds stacked against us and we won. Everyone praised the victory, I had
to remind them of the huge spaceship in front of us. The ship stretched for a couple of
kilometers, round, blocky, dark gray in color. It was terrifying. We boarded it anyway. I
conducted a head count to see what our army was cut down too. I was shocked, We had only 34
men left. The tall, blonde man approached me. “My name is Hiori, I'm proud to be working
under you, but I don’t know your name.” He had been the only survivor I had really talked to or
known of. He was a brave man. I introduced myself in return. “My name is Isagi Chigiri. I am
grateful for your efforts.”

As we entered the spaceship a loud screech went off. A horrible, petrifying sound, almost
like a fork scraping a plate. A large shadow lurked in the distance. It looked as if it was sitting
down on a throne of some type. It spoke. For the first time ever these creatures spoke English,
human speaking. “You humans think nothing and nobody is above, pitiful.” a large electric spear
came flying past and stabbed through some of our backline men. The spear looked about eight
meters in length. “Your planet's core is all I need, I am lord unicron. Your world is mine. The
core of your planet contains the energy to power my gap machine, when I power my machine,
the universe will reset, all life will die, and I will traverse to another realm as a god.” He came
out of the shadows. He was around 45 feet tall at least, a large bulky creature. He had eight arms
each holding some kind of light blade. He threw one at us and it bounced off the floor and right
past my arm. We needed to have our guard up. Hiori yelled from the back. “Sir Isagi… We can
hold him, you must go. Our planet needs to be destroyed, this creature may kill all of us but he
cannot kill the universe.” It didn’t dawn on me that this was larger than us until Hiori said this. I
realized what I had to do. I remembered seeing a large scaled missile on the outside of the
spaceship. I took off. Blades flying past, loud screeches, men crying out in bravery. I never
looked back in fear of what I might’ve seen.
I made my way through the long halls, slaying anything in my path. I came into the
control room with a large red button on it. I looked over the earth's horizon as tears came to my
eyes. I had never seen anything like it, the earth was beautiful. I knew I had to do it. I said my
final goodbye to my home, and watched as the missile traveled towards the planet and divided it
on impact. The shock knocked the spaceship so off course. We hit the surface of mars. That was
the last thing I remember….
