ABSTRACT
Detailed Abstract:

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) represents a groundbreaking

innovation in the field of energy transfer, offering the ability to deliver
electrical energy without the need for traditional wired connections.
The development of WPT has the potential to revolutionize the way
power is distributed, eliminating the constraints imposed by cables
and enhancing the convenience and flexibility of powering devices
across multiple industries. This project focuses on investigating the
fundamental principles, technologies, and practical applications of
wireless power transmission.

At the core of WPT are several key transmission methods, including

inductive coupling, resonant inductive coupling, and far-field methods
such as microwave and laser-based transmission. Each method has its
own strengths, limitations, and application areas. Inductive coupling,
for instance, is widely used in short-range applications like charging
smartphones and other small electronic devices, while resonant
inductive coupling offers greater efficiency over medium-range
distances, making it suitable for applications such as electric vehicle
(EV) charging. Far-field methods like microwave transmission enable
long-distance power transfer, which can be used for powering
satellites or remote sensors in challenging environments.

The primary objective of this project is to analyze these WPT

technologies in terms of their efficiency, power transmission range,
and the feasibility of practical deployment. Special attention is given to
optimizing energy efficiency, minimizing power losses due to
resistance and interference, and ensuring safety during operation. The
project also addresses technical challenges, such as alignment issues
between transmitting and receiving coils, energy losses during
transmission, potential health hazards due to radiation exposure, and
electromagnetic interference with other devices.

In addition to exploring the technical aspects, this project examines

real-world applications of WPT. These applications include contactless
charging for electric vehicles, wireless power delivery to implanted
medical devices such as pacemakers, wireless charging infrastructure
for consumer electronics, and powering sensors in remote or hard-to-
reach locations, such as underwater or space exploration missions. The
potential for scaling WPT to larger systems, such as wirelessly
powering entire buildings or cities, is also discussed, considering both
the technological challenges and the environmental impact.

The project culminates in the design and testing of a prototype WPT

system, with a focus on improving energy transfer efficiency, range,
and safety. Various materials and circuit designs are evaluated to
enhance system performance, with experiments conducted to verify
theoretical predictions. The ultimate goal of this research is to
contribute to the advancement of WPT technology, paving the way for
a future where wireless energy transfer is a reliable, sustainable, and
integral part of modern power distribution systems.

This exploration of wireless power transmission promises to unlock

new possibilities for powering devices and systems in a more flexible,
sustainable, and convenient manner, with the potential to significantly
impact industries ranging from consumer electronics to aerospace and
renewable energy.

1. Project Title::Wireless Power Transmission

Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) is an innovative
technology that allows the transmission of electrical energy
from a power source to a load without the need for physical
conductors. The concept has been in development for over
a century, starting with Nikola Tesla’s pioneering work. In
recent years, WPT has gained considerable attention due to
its potential applications in charging electronic devices,
electric vehicles (EVs), medical implants, and more. The key
objective of this project is to explore the principles,

Advantages of Wireless Power Transmission (WPT):
Advantages
Convenience and Mobility:

WPT eliminates the need for physical cables and

connectors, providing a more seamless and user-friendly
experience. Devices can be powered or charged without
direct contact, reducing wear and tear on ports and
cables.

1. Enhanced Safety:

Wireless systems reduce the risk of electrical hazards,

such as short circuits or accidental exposure to live
wires. This is especially beneficial in environments where
wired connections are impractical or dangerous, such as
underwater, high-voltage areas, or medical settings.
4. Reduced Maintenance and Durability:

Since there are no physical connections that can wear

out over time, the durability of the system is improved.
This is particularly useful in industrial applications where
continuous operation is critical, and maintenance can be
difficult or costly.

5. Powering Remote and Inaccessible Devices:

WPT can power devices located in hard-to-reach or

remote areas, such as sensors in space, underwater, or in
hazardous environments, where wired power delivery
would be inefficient or impossible.

6. Potential for Dynamic Charging:

WPT technology enables the possibility of powering or

charging moving objects, such as electric vehicles (EVs)
while they are in motion, eliminating the need for stops
to recharge batteries.

7. Reduction of Cable Clutter:

By transmitting power wirelessly, WPT can help reduce

the clutter of wires in homes, offices, and industrial
environments, leading to cleaner and more organized
spaces.

8. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency:

WPT systems, particularly those based on resonant
