INTRODUCTION TO SALESFORCE

Cloud Computing:

Cloud computing refers to the delivery of computing services, including servers, storage,
databases, networking, software, analytics, and more, over the internet (the "cloud").

Instead of owning and maintaining physical hardware and software resources

on-premises, cloud computing allows individuals and organizations to access and use
these resources on a pay-as-you-go or subscription basis from cloud service providers.

Cloud computing can be categorized into three primary service models:

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): IaaS provides virtualized computing resources over

the internet. Users can rent virtual machines, storage, and networking infrastructure. They
have control over the operating systems, applications, and data hosted on the
infrastructure.

Platform as a Service (PaaS): PaaS offers a platform and environment for developers to
build, deploy, and manage applications. Users do not need to manage the underlying
infrastructure but focus on coding and application development.

Software as a Service (SaaS): SaaS delivers fully functional software applications over
the internet on a subscription basis. Users can access these applications through web
browsers without the need for installation or maintenance.

Salesforce:

Salesforce is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform and suite

of business applications designed to help organizations manage their sales, customer
service, marketing, and other related processes.
