1. Cable Connection

1.1 Cable Connection

Instrument Interface

Computer Interface

After the instrument is unpacked, put it on the

specific table stably. There are three cables
Power
requiring to be connected in order to enable the
communication between the instrument and
computer.
Step 1. The port marked with Power in red is OCT(USB3.0)
used for power supply. MCC(USB3.0)
Step 2.The port marked with OCT is used for
OCT system. (Connect this port and the port SLO
<USB 3.0 Port> on the computer back side with
the USB 3.0 cable .) Figure 1.2 Computer back side

Step3. The port marked with SLO is used for SLO system. (Connect this port and the
port on the computer back side with the Gigabit Ethernet cable .)
Step4.The port marked with MCC is used for Motion control card and internal
fixation target. (Connect this port and the port <USB 3.0 Port>on the computer back
side with the USB 3.0 cable .)

1.2 MCC IP setting

Step 1. Network adapter rename

MCC is the abbreviation for Motion Control Card (MCC). This connection
enables the communication mainly between MCC and computer. When
connecting the MCC cable and SLO cable, please go to the interface shown below
(Figure 1.3). Once the network adapter are recognized, rename the adapter marked
with Realtek USB FE family controller...to MCC,rename the adapter marked with
Realtek PCIe family controller to SLO,so it easier to remember.

Step 2. IP address setting
Follow the path: Control Panel→Network and Internet→Network Connection,
and right click the corresponding Local Area Connection (if the name has been
changed in last step, it would be MCC), then select Properties → Internet
Protocol Version 4 The dialog window (Figure 1.4) will pop up and input the
address below.
IP address：178.177.1.5
Subnet mask：255.255.0.0
Note:The SLO adapter do not need to set the IP address.

2. Install the driver

2.1 Copy files

Copy all the files from the installation DVD to D (or C, E) disk.

Notes: In this manual, these packages files are copied to D disk.

2.2 Install the .net Framework 3.5

Step1. Copy the win10x64.NetFramework3.5 folder (Path:D:\ 3000 Installation
Package\Driver) to the root of C disk.
Step2. There are three files in the folder of win10x64.NetFramework3.5, right
click on setup.net3.5.bat file, and then select run as administrator.

Step3.The framework will be installed automatically, meanwhile, it will show
installation successfully information in the CMD window as shown in Figure 2.3.

2.3 Install the Elite_Drivers(dongle driver)

Open the folder (D:\3000InstallationPackage\Driver\Elite_Drivers_V5.1.1.1) and
double click <InstWiz3.exe>, and then choose the related buttons during the software
installation as shown in Figure 2.4.

After installed the driver, plug the dongle on the computer, right click the computer
icon and click the related buttons to check if the driver has been install successful. If it
displays <Senselock Elite-e v2.x> on the Device Manage, the driver is installed
successfully as shown in Figure2.5.

2.4 Install OCT camera driver

The package marked in Figure 2.6 is the driver for OCT camera.(Path: D:\ 3000
InstallationPackage\Driver\CameraCmosOctUsb_x64_1.5.0)

Double click on the installation package as shown in Figure 2.6 and then choose the
related buttons during the software installation as shown in Figure 2.7.

2.5 Install SLO camera driver

The package marked in Figure 2.8 is the driver for OCT camera.(Path: D:\ 3000
InstallationPackage\Driver\MVS_STD)

Double click on the installation package as shown in Figure 2.8 and then choose the
related buttons during the software installation as shown in Figure 2.9.

Note:when the OCT device are connected to the computer and the OCT device is
switched on,the SLO camera software will show like figure2.9e.

3. Install Mocean 3000 software

3.1 Operating software installation

Click the installation package (Path:D:\3000InstallationPackage) as shown in

Figure 3.1.

During the installation, browse the directory to install the software and click the
button marked with red circle successively in the interfaces (Figure 3.2).

3.2 Administrator role setting

 Step 1. Right click Mocean 3000 software icon, and then select Properties,as
shown in Figure 3.3.

 Step 2. Select Compatibility, tick Run this program as an administrator.
And then click Change settings for all user button(Figure 3.4).

 Step 3. In the pop up interface, please tick Run this program as an
administrator option, and then click Apply button. Click OK button to exit this
interface(Figure 3.5).

 Step 4. If Run this program as an administrator option is grey, and then

click Apply button. Click OK button to exit(Figure 3.6).

3.3 System settings

Step1. Dongle preparation
Before run the software,remember to plug the dongle on the computer(figure2.5a).
Double click Mocean 3000 icon to run the software(Figure 3.7).

Step 2. Configuration Parameter files setting

Run Mocean 3000 software, it will pop up the warning window (Figure3.8b). Select
the configuration files relevant to the device (such as: D:\ ConfigurationFiles\
CC0020910) and click <ok> button to import the parameters.

If the step 2 is neglected, the parameter needs update from the System Setting of
the <Menu> on the software main interface.

 Update the parameters in the software

Run the software, click the <menu> button on the main interface , select the <system
setting>and click the <update parameter>, Select the configuration files relevant to the
device (such as: D:\ ConfigurationFiles\ CC0020910). And then click <OK>, as
shown in Figure 3.10.

Step 3. Data directory setting

Run Mocean 3000 software, it will pop up a data directory setting interface
(Figure3.11a, D/E disk preferred). Click <Ok> to next step.

Note:after clicking ⑤ (ok),it will create a database in the D disk(figure 3.11b).

4. Computer setting requirements

1. Set the Unicode language to English(United States)

Follow the below steps to set the Unicode language. Please restart the computer after
setting.

5. Trouble shooting

1. When all settings are normal, the computer management will show like the
figure5.1.

 MCC:The motion control card(MCC) is successfully connected and IP is
correct,it will show like figure5.1 and Control Card status will be green on the
capture interface.
 OCT:The OCT camera is successfully connected, the computer management will
show<Camera COMS USB3> and CCD camera status will be green on the
capture interface.
 Fundus camera:The fundus camera is successfully connected，the SLO adapter
will show like figure 5.1 and Fundus Camera Status will be green on the capture
interface
 Graphics:The computer requires the discrete graphics card，the performance of
graphics card should .

 Dongle:When the dongle driver is installed and the dongle is plugged into the
computer, it will display<Senselock Elite-e v2.x>

2. Problem: the Control Card Status is red.

Solution: please check the MCC(USB3.0) cable connection (figure1,page1) and
check the MCC IP setting(figure1.4,page3),When it connected successfully,it will
show like figure 5.1.

Solution:please check the OCT(USB3.0)cable connection(figure1,page1),When it
connected successfully,it will show like figure 5.1.

4. Problem: Fundus camera status is red
Solution: please check the SLO cable connection (figure1,page1) and the SLO
camera driver installation(chapter2.5),When it connected successfully,it will show
like figure 5.1.

5. Problem: the software show error tip:OCT Camera Read Exception
Solution:the cable connection may be loose,please check the cable connection and
make sure that the CCD camera status is green.

Solution:the cable connection may be loose, please check the cable connection
(replug the SLO cable)and make sure that the Fundus camera status is green.

7. Problem: the software show error tip:the software is not yet registered, please
contact us for trial version.
Solution: Make sure that the the dongle driver has been installed(chapter2.3) and
the dongle is plugged into the computer.When it connected successfully,it will show
like figure 5.1(page15).
