originating in the Indus Valley civilization of India. The term "yoga" comes from
the Sanskrit word "yuj," which means "to unite" or "to join." It signifies the
union of body, mind, and spirit.The earliest references to yoga can be found in
the Rigveda, one of the oldest sacred texts, where meditation and spiritual
practices are mentioned. Over centuries, yoga evolved through various
philosophies and schools of thought.The Upanishads, composed around
800–400 BCE, further explored the concepts of meditation and self-
realization. Around the 2nd century BCE, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras provided a
systematic framework for yoga practice, outlining the Eight Limbs of Yoga
(Ashtanga), which include ethical guidelines, physical postures (asanas),
breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation.
   Types of Yoga
There are various styles of yoga, each with its unique
  focus. From the dynamic Vinyasa to the meditative
 Hatha, each type oers dierent benefits. Exploring
        these styles allows practitioners to find what
                           resonates best with them.
