Introduction
With the rapid evolution of technology, and now with 4.0, technology
continues to be an ever-increasing aspect of the learning environment. This
episode allows students to investigate a Learning Resource Center or Multi-
Media Center and learn about its collection, services, and equipment, as well as
to witness how a teacher uses technology for education and to explore resources
in the virtual learning environment. Students will analyze and reflect on how
technology, including artificial intelligence, supports the teaching-learning
process.
A school usually set up a center that will provide a valuable support to
the teaching _ Learning Process. Over the years the name of this center has
evolved. Some of the names are Audiovisual Center, Media and Technology
Resource Center, Teaching Learning Technology Department, or Simply
Learning Software systems and applications.
Intended Learning Outcomes
At the end of this activity, pre-service teacher should be able to:
* Describe the Learning Resource/Multi-Media Center as part of the learning
environment.
* Identify and classify technology resources that facilitate teaching-learning
processes
