Guidelines for filling up the Generic Elective Course (GE) and Discipline Specific elective
course (DSE) option Form for the students of Semester-IV & VI
With reference to opting the Generic Elective Course (GE) ands Discipline Elective Course (DSE) for the 2024-
25 session (even semester, Semester IV & VI), students are requested to fill out the online option forms through
Google form by 25/10/2024, failing which it would be presumed that the student does not want to exercise his/her
options as such and is comfortable with the allocation of any paper by the college. In that case, GE Courses
Committee of the college may allocate available paper to the student based on the committee's discretion. The
instructions, list of papers offered by various departments and list of GE-department coordinators of the college
and links to apply are given below. Students need to read the instructions given below carefuly before filling the
option form:
1. All the students of all courses of Semester-IV & VI should mandatorily fill Google option form given
below to opt GE or DSE
2. Hard copy of the application will not be accepted in any case for allocation of GE and DSE papers
3. The student must read the Delhi University undergraduate curriculum framework 2022 (UGCF-2022)
carefully before filling the option form. The same is available at:

4. A student of Hons course can not opt his/ her parent/ core discipline. e.g. a student of BA (H) History
can't opt History as their GE.
5. A student of program course can't opt his/ her three-core discipline. e.g. a student of BSc (Prog)
Physical Science with Chemistry can't opt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as their GE course.
6. DSE course must be from one of your core disciplines
7. Students can fill option form only once. Therefore, follow extreme care while filling out the Google
option form. Students will not be allowed to change their options at a later stage.
8. Please note that the college does not guarantee the allotment of the chosen preferences. The college reserves
the right to drop a course offered if number of students opting a course are less than 20. College reserves
the right to allocate second or third prefrence to the students other than the first preference. Final
decision for GE allocation or Re-allocation resides with college and it would be on the basis of first come
first serve.
9. In case, if any student doesn’t opt his/ her choice for GE course within the given deadline to opt the choice,
then college will have its solely discretion over the allotment of a GE course to the student which he/she
won’t be able to change on later stage.
10. GE Committee/ Deshbandhu College is not responsible for any error that may have come inadvertantly
while allocating GE
11. Students are solely responsible for furnishing wrong information to college for GE allocation and liable for
strict action
12. If any student is not able to open the form, kindly update your browser or copy and paste the Google form
link in the browser directly. If student is facing the problem with the options' visibility, please reload the
form. If still any student faces the problem in filling the option form than please ask your GE-department
coordinator

14. All students are herby requested to report to their GE-Department Coordinator immediately in case of any
discrepency in the allocation of GE subject
