ABSTRACT
• The purpose of this study is to discuss development of vacuum cleaner robot using an
Arduino uno.
• The main idea is primarily having sensor to sense any object like wall and dust etc... and it
avoids the obstacles.
• Then send the output data to an Arduino that will control the robot vacuum movement.
• To felicitate target function interactivity in conjunction with high quality senor play an
essential role.
• In this we have multiple options in operating the robot like we can operate remotely using
android mobile by Bluetooth, automatic function just turns on the robot its movies using the
sensor, voice command robot movements can be controlled using voice.
• At present, there are vacuum cleaners which require humans to handle it. Thus, there is a
dire need to implement vacuum cleaner which works without human intervention.
• An efficient method to clean the desired area has been implemented through this project.

OBJECTIVES
• The main objective of this project is to design and implement a vacuum robot prototype by
using Arduino uno,.
• Vacuum robot will have several criterial that are user- friendly.
• Automated Cleaning: To autonomously clean different types of floors (carpets, hardwood,
tiles) without human intervention using smart navigation and obstacle avoidance
technologies.
• Intelligent Navigation: To incorporate sensors and AI-based algorithms that allow the
vacuum cleaner to map rooms, detect dirt, avoid obstacles, and clean in an optimized and
systematic manner.
• Smart Home Integration: To seamlessly integrate with popular smart home ecosystems
(e.g., Alexa, Google Assistant) for remote control, voice commands, and scheduling
through mobile apps or smart speakers.
• Efficient Cleaning Performance: To ensure effective dirt, dust, and debris removal, even
in hard-to-reach areas, including under furniture, along edges, and in corners.
• Energy Efficiency and Self-Charging: To provide long battery life with energy-efficient
operation, and to return to its charging station autonomously when the battery is low.
• User Convenience: To offer features such as programmable cleaning schedules, automatic
dirt disposal, and easy maintenance with minimal user effort.
• Noise Reduction: To operate quietly enough for use at any time, even in noise-sensitive
environments.
• Adaptability: To adapt to different home environments, adjusting cleaning patterns based
on the layout, furniture arrangement, and floor types.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Automation: Smart vacuum cleaners can be designed to operate without human
intervention.
• Sensors: Smart vacuum cleaners can use sensors to measure distance and avoid obstacles.
• Navigation: Smart vacuum cleaners can use navigation algorithms to navigate around a
space.
• User interface: Smart vacuum cleaners can have user-friendly interfaces.
• Cleaning: Smart vacuum cleaners can use a rotating brush or suction mechanism to clean
floors.
• Scheduling: Smart vacuum cleaners can be operated on an automated schedule.
• Self-learning: Smart vacuum cleaners can be improved to learn from their experiences.
• Voice control: Smart vacuum cleaners can be controlled by voice.
• Automatic charging: Smart vacuum cleaners can automatically charge themselves.
• Lifting: Smart vacuum cleaners can be equipped with a hand-like construction to lift
items.

OUTCOMES
• Convenience: Robot vacuums can clean for you while you focus on other things.
• Time-saving: You can set schedules and let the vacuum run automatically.
• Easy to use: Robot vacuums are user-friendly and require minimal effort.
• Energy-efficient: Robot vacuums use less electricity per unit of time than traditional
vacuums.
• Good at picking up debris: Robot vacuums are good at picking up debris on hard floors
and carpets.
• Small and lightweight: Robot vacuums are relatively small and lightweight, making them
easy to store.
• Special tasks: Some robot vacuums are designed for specific tasks, like cleaning for pet
owners or people with allergies.
• 2-in-1 devices: Some robot vacuums are hybrid devices that can also mop.
