Cost Centre

Cost centers in SAP are unique codes assigned to specific departments or areas within
an organization to record and monitor expenses. They are used for budgeting,
forecasting, and financial reporting, allowing for accurate cost allocation and better
financial management.

Creation of cost Centre

Step 01 – Maintaining the controlling area

Path –

SPRO- IMG - Enterprise Structure – Definition – Controlling - Maintain Controlling Area


T.C- OX06
Provide above details and press enter and save

Step 02 – Assign company code to controlling area

Path SPRO- IMG - Enterprise Structure – Assignment – Controlling - Assign company code to
controlling area

TC – OX19
Give your company code press enter and save

Step 03 – Maintain the controlling area

T.C – OKKP

Position , Give your company code ,select it then click on activate component
Give fisical year and activate all option as above

Step 04 – Create Cost center

T.C – KS01
Step 05 – Assign the General Ledger to the cost center

T.C – FS00
Enter and save
