Full Model Essay:
• More and more people are migrating to cities in search of a
better life, but city life can be extremely difficult.
• Explain some of the difficulties of living in a city.
• How can governments make urban life better for everyone?
• It is indeed becoming increasingly common for people in rural
areas to move to cities for better living conditions even though
city life may present some serious problems. I believe that
these problems can be tackled in a number of ways, ensuring a
decent quality of life for city inhabitants.
Full Model Essay:
• Those who migrate to a large metropolis face various issues.
The high cost of living would be one major problem. City
residents have to pay much more for basic needs such as
accommodation, transport and even food than those in the
countryside due to the growing demand for essential products
and services. Another serious drawback of city life is constant
traffic jams that result from having more cars than roads can
handle, creating long lines of slow-moving traffic during rush
hours. Further issues relate to the quality of the air and the level
of noise. City dwellers tend to suffer from polluted air and high
noise levels, which are caused by the growing volume of traffic,
increasing human activity and big construction projects.
Full Model Essay:
• However, the government can take several steps to address
these issues. Providing financially struggling families access to
social housing and imposing price controls on basic goods and
services are two ways to lower the cost of living. Regarding
traffic issues, it is important to promote alternative forms of
transport such cycling and walking in addition to improving the
quality of public transport. I am sure many people would avoid
using their private cars if public transport systems were efficient
and reliable, and there were other, cheaper and healthier
options available. Finally, city officials should increase green
spaces and relocate industries to rural areas in order to
alleviate air and noise pollution.

• In conclusion, I agree that living in a city is far from easy, but we
can take a range of actions to overcome the existing challenges
and promote higher standards of urban living.
