their jobs, often following certain "Standards of Practice."
- It goes beyond just technical skills and includes ethical behavior,
making good decisions, and how one interacts with others.
**Computing (Software Engineering, CS, IT):**
- Computing is the process of using computers to complete tasks that have a
specific goal.
- Software engineering involves two main parts: Software and Engineering.
- Software is made up of codes, documents, and triggers that perform
specific tasks.
- Engineering is about creating products using proven methods, best
practices, and principles.
- Information technology (IT) involves using computers, storage, networks, and
other devices to create, process, store, secure, and exchange electronic data.
**Professional Practice in Computer
Engineering:**
- Being professional means being aware of how your software
engineering decisions impact society.
- It includes accountability, integrity, and social responsibility.
- Engineers should show professionalism in how they dress, speak, and
act when dealing with colleagues, clients, and the public.
**Professionals in Computer Science:**
- Computer professionals work in the information technology field,
doing jobs like hardware or software engineering, web design, network
or database administration, teaching computer science, or repairing
computers.
- They have a responsibility to share their technical knowledge with the
public and help people understand computing, including the impacts
and limitations of computer systems.

- Social media platforms like Twitter , Fb , and Ig have changed how we interact
and communicate, creating new forms of digital engagement and community-
building.

entertainment, bringing innovations like electronic medical records, online
banking, and streaming services.
**Economic Context of Computing:**
- Computing plays a key role in driving innovation, productivity, and
economic growth.
- Economically, computers offer many benefits:

- People can send emails, and read magazines or books online instead of
printing hard copies, which saves money and time in the long run.
