The Story of Pamulak

Manobo

In the beginning, when the world was a

vast, empty expanse, there existed a being of

unparalleled power and wisdom. He was the

Chief God, the creator of all things, known for

his boundless creativity and love for his

creations. He is Pamulak Manobo.

With a single thought, the Chief God brought forth the universe. He sculpted the stars

and planets, painted the heavens with vibrant hues, and carved the mountains and valleys of

the earth. He filled the seas with life, from the tiniest fish to the big sea monster.

But the Chief God was not content to simply create the world. He longed for

companions, beings who could appreciate his handiwork and share in his joy. So, he turned

his attention to the clay of the earth and began to shape it into the form of humans.

He breathed life into these creations, giving them minds that could reason and souls

that could love. He taught them the secrets of the universe, the ways of nature, and the art of

living in harmony with each other.

The humans thrived under the watchful eye of the Chief God. They built cities,

cultivated crops, and explored the far reaches of the world. They sang praises to their creator

and offered sacrifices in gratitude for his blessings.

Yet, despite their happiness and prosperity, the humans were not without flaws. They

were prone to greed, envy, and anger. They often strayed from the path that the Chief God

had set for them.

The Chief God watched these failings with sadness, but he never gave up on his

creations. He continued to guide and protect them, hoping that one day they would learn to

live in peace and harmony.
