ATTITUDE
Attitude is a psychological construct that represents a person’s feelings, beliefs and
predispositions towards an object, person, situation or concept. It involves how someone thinks
about, feels about and behaves towards something. Attitudes are often shaped by experiences,
social influences, and cultural norms and can influence decision-making and behavior.

TYPES OF ATTITUDES
The four basic types of attitudes and behaviors are Positive, Negative, Neutral & Sikken.

1. Positive Attitude: - A positive attitude refers to an employee’s optimistic, proactive and

constructive mindset towards their work, colleagues and overall environment. It involves
approaching challenges with a solution-oriented perspective, maintaining enthusiasm even in
difficult situations, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative workplace culture.

2. Negative Attitude: - A negative attitude in an organization refers to an employee’s

pessimistic, uncooperative or resistant mindset towards their work, colleagues and
organizational environment. This attitude manifests in behaviors such as frequent complaining,
resistance to change, lack of motivation and a tendency to focus on problems rather than
solutions.

3. Neutral Attitude: - The neutral attitude in an organization refers to an employee’s indifferent

or detached approach to their work, colleagues and overall environment. Employees with a
neutral attitude typically neither contribute positively nor negatively to the workplace.

4. Sikken Attitude: - Sikken is one of the most complicated types of attitudes. It reflects a
constant state of negativity and aggressiveness.

Character Theme:
POSITIVE ATTITUDE-
The characters (Manager, Prakshi, Bhavik and Harsh) depict a mindset where they consistently
approach situations with optimism, enthusiasm and resilience. The characters challenges as
opportunities, maintain a hopeful outlook even in difficult circumstances, and uplift others with their
encouraging words and actions.

Having a positive attitude equips the employees in an organization with the ability to learn and grow
through their fears and frustrations and interact appropriately with others.

NEGATIVE ATTITUDE-
These characters (Aashi and Subhadeep) represent a mindset where they approach situations with
pessimism, skepticism, and resistance. These characters dwell on the drawbacks of every situation, be
quick to criticize or complain and often expect the worst outcomes, are always dissatisfied with their
role, colleagues or the workplace environment itself.

These negative behaviors not only affect the individual exhibiting them but can also have a broader
impact on team dynamics, morale, and overall productivity within the organization.

SCENE 1: Introduction of a New Employee

Kuldeep (HR Manager) introduces Prakshi, the new team member, to the team, entrusting Aashi
with the task of guiding her.

Prakshi is enthusiastic and eager to learn, expressing her excitement about joining the team. However,
Aashi's initial response is dismissive and negative, indicating reluctance and a lack of enthusiasm.
Bhavik notices Aashi's attitude and tries to reassure Prakshi, emphasizing that the job isn't as difficult
as Aashi makes it seem and that the work environment is supportive.

However, Aashi remains negative, questioning her place on the team and expressing resentment over
past failures. Bhavik points out that Aashi’s attitude is affecting the team’s morale and urges her to
