Luke 1:34-35 ~ Legacy Standard Bible
34 But Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" 35 The
angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the
power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child
shall be called the Son of God.
Quran:
19. He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord, to give you the gift of a pure
son."
20. She said, "How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I was never
unchaste?"
21. He said, "Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign
for humanity,
and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decided."
22. So she carried him, and secluded herself with him in a remote place.
The Sanhedrin is a judicial and legislative council in ancient Israel, and its
concept has biblical origins. It is not part of the Bible itself but is rooted in
the Hebrew Scriptures.
In the Talmud, Sanhedrin 37a, it states:
“The court tells the witnesses: Therefore, Adam the first man was created alone, to
teach you that with regard to anyone who destroys one soul from the Jewish people,
i.e., kills one Jew, the verse ascribes him blame as if he destroyed an entire
world, as Adam was one person, from whom the population of an entire world came
forth. And conversely, anyone who sustains one soul from the Jewish people, the
verse ascribes him credit as if he sustained an entire world.”
Surah Al-Ma’idah (5:32): “Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel
that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land -
it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he
had saved mankind entirely.”
Revelation 16:12 states:
“The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water
was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.”
Riyad as-Saliheen 1822: “The Hour will not come to pass before the River Euphrates
dries up to unveil the mountain of gold, for which people will fight. Ninety-nine
out of one hundred will die (in the fighting) and every man amongst them will say:
‘Perhaps I may be the only one to remain alive.’”
For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is
in them. Exodus 20:11
It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then settled over the
Throne. Hadid 57:4
CREATION OF MAN:
….and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living
being. Genesis 2:7
Then He proportioned him, and breathed into him of His Spirit. Sajdah 32:9
God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and
female he created them. Genesis 1:27
Muslim (2612)
narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah said: “When any one of you
fights his brother, let him avoid the face, for Allah created Adam in His image.”
Bukhari 6227 Book 79, Hadith 1 Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, “Allah created Adam in His picture,……….So whoever will enter
Paradise, will be of the shape and picture of Adam.
SIN & FALL OF MAN:
You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat
from it you will certainly die. Genesis 2:17
And We said, “O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in
[ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest
you be among the wrongdoers. Baqarah 2:35
The serpent said to the woman, “You will not die; for God knows that when you eat
of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:4-5
But satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from
them of their private parts. He said, “Your Lord did not forbid you this tree
except that you become angels or become of the immortal.” Araf 7:20
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the
eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave
some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Genesis 3:6
So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their
private parts became apparent to them. Araf 7:22
Here it gets interesting because the Quran wrote the exact opposite of what the
Bible states:
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned. Romans 5:12
…No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens
shall bear the burden of another… Anam 6:164.
