Introduction
Introduction To System

The Mobile Store Management System is developed for desktop systems to

facilitate mobile shop owners’ management of customer details and
inventory data, which will include mobile phones and accessories. It can be
used efficiently for physically separated shops in different locations. This
software will provide in a simple and easy to operate user interface, which
can be managed by any user without having prior in-depth knowledge of
the computer system. One can use this software to get a sales report.
Administrators can pull data, from any location from the server. This
software is a complete package for small organizations which will allow
them to keep track of their sales and inventory, and provide a computerized
billing system. There are various applications with more complex
implementation and features available in the market, but they are generally
very expensive.

Therefore, creating an application with the basic requirement of low cost is

essential for small organizations. This application will allow stores to
manage customer details, keep inventory of all products and purchase
information, in a very simple way, using a state-of the-art software
application. It will automatically generate invoices and update inventory.
Scope Of The System

In today’s market, retailers and wholesale outlets should quickly adapt to

the ever changing technology to minimize overhead, lower cost of
operation, and help to stay competitive. Everybody needs software, which
can facilitate store operations and make their day-to-day lives much easier.
Mobile Store Management System is application software designed to take
advantage of today’s technology and reduce or avoid the burden of storing
data on paper and in files. This facilitates moving purchase, sales, and
customer information, as well as supplier and company data, from paper to
digital media on a secured server. Sales and purchase bills can be generated
as needed. Each store has an option to store their data on one remote
central database server. This will also allow stores to access information
from other partner stores. This would in turn lead to information sharing,
so that all the stores are aware of each other’s current inventory. It will be
useful when ordering new purchases to avoid overstocking.
Proposed System

The aim of developing Online Mobile Shopping system is to replace

traditional way of purchasing electronics with computerized system.
Another important reason for developing this project is to prepare bills and
sales report quickly and in correct format at any point of time when
required.

In this project, we will be designing a simple virtual mobile store using

object oriented technology. The system will allow the admin to perform
multiple CRUD operations and relevant data.

• The project contains:

• Secure registration of user

• Easy bill generation

• Sales report

• Navigation to desired form

ANALYSIS
Fact Finding Technique
There are five widely used fact-finding techniques:
• Examining Documentation
• Interviewing
• Observing the enterprise in action
• Research
• Questionnaires

Examining documentation can be helpful when you try to gain some insight as to
how the requirement for a database arose. You may also find that documentation can
help to acquire information on the part of the enterprise associated with the problem.
If the problem relates to the current system, there should have to be documents
associated with that system. By examining documents, forms, reports, and files
associated with the current system, you can quickly gain some thoughtful concepts
out of the system.

Interviewing is the most frequently used, and usually the most useful, fact-finding
procedure used. We can interview to collect information from person face-to-face.
There can be several objectives for using interviewing, such as finding out facts,
verifying those facts, clarifying these released facts, generating enthusiasm, getting
the end-user involved, identifying requirements, and gathering ideas and opinions.
However, using the interviewing practice must require proper communication skills
for dealing effectively with people who have different values, priorities, opinions,
motivations, and personalities.

Observing the enterprise in action: Observing the enterprise in action: Observation

is one of the most successful fact-finding techniques carried out for understanding a
system. Using this technique, it is achievable to either participate in or observe a
person perform activities to learn about the system.

Research: A useful fact-finding technique is to research the application or the

problem that you are dealing with and want to put within a database. Computer
trade journals, reference books, and the Internet are good sources of information that
can make available the vast quantity of information on how others have solved
similar problems/issues plus whether or not any software packages exist to resolve
or even partially solve your current problem.

Questionnaires: Another fabulous fact-finding method is to conduct surveys through

questionnaires. Questionnaires are special-purpose documents that allow facts to be
gathered from a large number of people while upholding some control over their
responses. When dealing with a large number of listeners or audience, no other fact-
finding technique can tabulate the same facts so efficiently. There are two types of
questions that can be asked in a questionnaire, namely free-format and fixed-format.
Free-format questions offer the respondent greater freedom inputting answers. Fixed-
format questions require specific responses from individuals, and for the given
question, the respondent must choose from the available answers.
Feasibility Study
A feasibility study is a detailed analysis that considers all of the critical aspects of a
proposed project in order to determine the likelihood of it succeeding. Success in
business may be defined primarily by return on investment, meaning that the project
will generate enough profit to justify the investment.
Feasibility study includes consideration of all possible ways to provide a solution to the
given problem. The proposed solution should satisfy the user requirements and should
be flexible enough so that future changes can be easily done based on the future
upcoming requirements.

• Economic Feasibility
This is a very important aspect to be considered while developing a project. We
decided the technology based on minimum cost factor.
All hardware and software cost has to be borne by the organization

• Technical Feasibility
This included the study of function, performance and constraints that may affect
the ability to achieve an acceptable system. For this feasibility study, we studied
complete functionality to be provided in the system, as described in the System
Requirement Specification (SRS), and checked if everything was possible using
desired platforms.

• Behavioral Feasibility

No doubt the proposed system is fully GUI based that is very user friendly and all
inputs to be taken are self-explanatory.
