Fieldbus l DIGUREG 2 2 Description

2 Description

The tables below list the assignments of the signals that are transferred via the communication interface for Profibus or
Profinet. Two different datasets are available, which can be selected by means of parameterization:

 DIGUREG 1 dataset
This dataset is compatible with the dataset which is used for DIGUREG 1 Profibus and Profinet communication.

 DIGUREG 2 dataset
This dataset contains the signals from the DIGUREG 1 dataset as well as a number of additional signals.

 DIGUREG 2 extended
This dataset contains the signals from the DIGUREG 2 dataset as well as a number of additional signals.

If not otherwise specified, analog setpoint and actual values are sent or anticipated as a thousandth of the nominal magni-
tude in each case (generator apparent power, generator rated voltage, etc.).

3 Receive data (DIGUREG 1 type)

8 words each with 16 bits are received.

32 binary signals are anticipated in words 0 and 1. These are evaluated either as a command or a binary state.

In the case of binary signals that are identified as commands, the associated function is executed when the received value
changes from '0' to '1' (rising edge).
Signed fixed-point numbers in the range -32768 to +32767 are anticipated in words 2 to 7.

The meanings of the individual signals are explained in the table below.

7 Type DIGUREG 2 Extended

The Mapping Digureg 2 Extended is a extension of the Digureg 2 Dataset. It sends 8 more words. The receive Data is the
same as DIGUREG 2 Dataset

The meanings of the individual signals are explained in the table below.

Fieldbus l DIGUREG 2 8 PROFINET connection / GSDML file

8 PROFINET connection / GSDML file

In order to use PROFINET the provided GSDML file needs to be used. It contains own sections for send and receive
directions.

For Receive data (DIG1, DIG2 and DIG2 Extended) both systems uses the same amount of data words (8 words). There is a
group in the GSDML file called Module Input that corresponds to the Receive Data.

For Send data DIGUREG 1 uses 22 data words. DIGUREG 2 uses 24 data words.DIG2 Extended uses 32 data words. In the
GSDML file there are three groups defined.

Group name in GSDML Number of words Usage

Module Output, Group 1 22 Digureg 1, Digureg 2, Extended

Module Output, Group 2 2 Digureg 2,Extended

Module Output, Group 3 8 Extended

The table above shows that for Send data in DIG1 mode only Group1 (22 data words) is needed. For DIG2 mode group 1
and 2 (22 + 2 = 24 words) need to be used. For DIG2 Extended all 3 groups are needed
