START OF STORY

NEW CHAPTER (CH1)

Jack: Harry! What about going out with us and venture out of
the village?
Harry: Sure, where are we going?
Jack: It’s a secret place behind the village.
Chloe: My parents told me that the forest behind the village
holds many mysterious things.

Amelia: My parents told me that the forest is the place where

trolls live, but I don’t believe them. After all have you ever seen
a troll footprint?

(Give short pauses while explaining the Kalipiluit, as shown by

the indents)
Cedric: No, but I heard from my parents that the forest is a
place where a creature called the Kalipiluit live.

Cedric: Legend has it that the Kalipiluit are mysterious

creatures that lived in this island long ago before our ancestors
did. The Kalipiluit represent different emotions of evil.

Cedric: When our ancestors arrived in this island, they met with
the Kalipiluit and legend has it that they made a deal with the
Kalipiluit so that we can live in this island. No one knows about
the deal because it was always kept a secret by the village
elders.
Harry: Wow, that sure is creepy (with a scared voice).
Narrator: As they venture deeper into the forest, they got a very
eerie feeling.

(Insert the characters walking around the forest – should take

up a minute in real time)
Chloe: Hey guys I’m tired can we take a short break?
Amelia: Yea I’m tired too.
Amelia: Hey Jack can we take a break? I mean just look at this
beautiful forest let’s just stay here for a bit and take a break.
Jack: Okay let’s just stay here and take a break.

Narrator: They all stopped at this one place in the forest. As

they were taking a break, they took some time to look around
and enjoy how beautiful it is in the forest. After a few minutes
Chloe saw a pair of cute eyes in the corner. It looked like the
eyes of a squirrel.
Chloe: Hey guys I saw something through that bush. (Chloe
sounds excited here and scampers to the bush)
Narrator: As Chloe went out to chase the creature her friends
didn’t hear what she had said and they were all busy looking
around by themselves.
Chloe: AHHH!
Narrator: Amelia heard Chloe scream from behind the bush.
(Amelia looks back and tries to find Chloe)

Amelia: Chloe? Chloeee? CHLOE WHERE ARE YOU?

Narrator: No response from Chloe. Amelia then ran to Jack and
told him what happened. After Amelia had told them Jack’s face
turned pale. Jack then called Cedric and Harry.
Harry: What happened Jack?

Jack: Chloe has gone missing.

Harry, Cedric: WHAT? HOW? (Very shocked)

Narrator: Amelia then told them the story of how Chloe went
missing.
Harry: She must have been kidnapped by someone.
Narrator: Cedric turns his head and looks at Harry.
Cedric: Or maybe she has been kidnapped by the Kalipiluit.

Harry: I’ll go look for Chloe – where did she head off to Amelia?

Amelia: She headed off west from here.

(Harry walks west to go look for Chloe)

Narrator: Harry expected to find Chloe immediately, because,

to his assumption, she wouldn’t have gone that far for some
squirrel, right?

Harry: Chloe! Where are you? We’ve been looking for you! Why
did you stray so far away from us?

(No answer)

Chloe: Harry is that you?!

(Harry is able to find Chloe, and he starts running towards her)

Chloe: Harry no! (Exclaiming)

(Harry gets quickly snatched up by a random creature; cuts

back to the group, who are still waiting for Harry and Chloe)

Amelia: Where are those two?

Narrator: Cedric now looks even more paranoid, because it’s

pretty likely the Kalipiluit kidnapped them.

Jack: Harry’s always getting himself into silly stuff; I think this
time it’s no exception.

Amelia: So, we go look for them. They’re not going to figure it

out themselves.

Cedric: What if we get kidnapped also?

Jack: I’m not enthusiastic on going on, but I agree with Amelia.
We should look for them.

NEW CHAPTER (CH2)

Narrator: As they ventured deeper in the forest to find Chloe &

Jack, they encountered a translucent dark creature, who
seemed to be murmuring to themselves.

Amelia: I’m going to ask the creature if there’s something

wrong.

Cedric: No, don’t! What if it’s some aggressive animal?

Amelia, ignoring Cedric’s warning: Hi, is there something

wrong?

(The monster turns around startling Amelia, Cedric, and Jack)

Cedric, screaming: Ahh! What is that thing?!

(Monster starts to approach the three children, prompting Jack

and Cedric to try and run away, screaming)

Amelia: Both of you! Stop! You’ll upset the creature!

(Jack and Cedric stop trying to run away)

(Creature stops in front of Amelia)

Amelia: Hi, do you know the whereabouts of our friends Chloe

and Harry?|

Creature, frustrated: I don’t know who your friends are and how
they look like! Why am I being accused of kidnapping your
friends?

Amelia: No no I’m not accusing you of anything. I’m only asking

if you’ve seen them.

Amelia: Do you have any issues currently? You seem quite

frustrated.

Narrator: The monster explains all of its problems and what has
occurred with him that day, and because Amelia is a nice
individual, responded by solving his problems.

Creature: Thank you for being supportive of me. I still can’t

comprehend your problem, but I think my acquaintance down
that dirt road (creature points down the dirt road), would be able
to help. Again, thanks for your help!

(Creature disappears into a puff of smoke)

Amelia: Come on Cedric and Jack, let’s go down the dirt road.

NEW CHAPTER (CH3)

Narrator: As the three pressed on forward to the forest, the
scenery changed. The air was quite heavy to breathe in, and it
seemed like there was saltwater dripping, similar to sweat or
tears. The friends continued onward, despite the possible
dangers.

Jack & Cedric: Hey Amelia, are you sure this is the correct
path?

Amelia: Well, this is where the creature pointed us to. I say we

just continue on.

Jack: God you are so stubborn.

Narrator: As the group continued on, they slowly got more

nauseated and dizzier from the smell and dampness of this part
of the forest.

Jack: I feel dizzy and sick.

Cedric: Same…

Amelia: I’m so on edge, it feels uncomfortable. The droplets are

making me go insane.

Jack: Yeah it feels so weird here. I don’t even see that

monster’s friend anywhere. I think this is some sick joke on his
part.

(Amelia hushes Jack)

(There’s a light whimper and sob)

Cedric: Who’s crying?

(Loud roar and a harsh breeze travels through the forest)

(Amelia, Jack, & Cedric step back in concern and fear, and step
back into a cave)

Amelia: Hey, a cave!

Jack: I’ll say it right now – I’m not a fan of going down that
cave.

Cedric: Do you want to stay out here? Where it’s damp? Where
a monster just bellowed?

Jack: God! Fine. Let’s all go down the cave. At least it’s better
than out here.

Narrator: As they try and enter the cave, the rocks suddenly
intervened and closed off the cave fully.

(Everyone moves back a step and get startled)

Amelia, Jack, & Cedric: What the what-

Voice (mumbled & faint): Please! Before you enter the cave,
can you hear me out on something?

Amelia: Yeah!

Jack: No! We’ve already been through enough! Just let us go

through into the cave!
Amelia: We should hear him out! Maybe it’ll help us find Chloe
and Harry?

Cedric: Yeah well, he’s not going to let us slide on by if we say

no, right? So, no choice. Let’s just hear what he has to say.

Jack: You two are so annoying!

Voice: Thank you!

(Start of the song)

Amelia: Hey it’s ok to feel guilty about something!

Cedric: Yeah. That stuff takes time to recover. Just give it some
time.

(The rocks crumbled, allowing them to pass)

NEW CHAPTER (CH4)

Narrator: As they entered the cave, immediately the rocky and

spiky cave was bleak and dingy. They continued on since they
weren’t going to exit the cave any time soon. To their surprise,
they encountered a tree in the middle of the cave, a solitary,
lifeless tree.

Amelia: Hey, I think this is where that creature told us to go to.

Jack: I mean what else is there in this cave he’d want us to go

to?

Cedric: Yea there’s nothing in this cave, except for a tree. How
did a tree end up here, anyways?

Amelia: Let’s look for that creature’s friend. It should be around

here.

The three look around for the creature’s friend

After a bit of looking, they encounter a clearly despondent

creature, who was sitting behind the tree

Cedric: That must be him.

Jack & Cedric approach the creature carefully, and got taken
aback when it turned its head to acknowledge them

Amelia, desensitized, approaches the creature

Amelia: Hi! Are you feeling okay? And have you seen our
friend? A boy and a girl? They’re named Harry and Chloe.

Creature: I’m so desolate, and it’s because of how I look. I

literally have no friends.

Creature sings about his loneliness

Amelia extends her hand out of compassion, and to make

friends with the creature

Creature: What are you doing?

Amelia: I’ll be your friend!

Amelia: Jack, Cedric, you guys can go ahead and find Harry
and Chloe. I’ll stay here and accompany this guy here.
Creature: Thank you. I do know where your friends are. I do
know someone who would steal your friends like that. You can
find him deeper in the woods. Be careful though, he’s hot-
headed.

Cedric: You sure you’re fine down here?

Amelia: Yea!

Jack: Let’s go find Harry and Chloe.

Jack & Cedric leave Amelia to spend time with the creature,
and exit the cave to go deeper into the woods

NEW CHAPTER (CH5)

Narrator: As the two ventured deeper into the seemingly never-

ending pathway, they felt their hairs
stand on end and their bodies involuntarily shiver—a sensation
unlike any they had
experienced before. Murmurs and whispers, akin to chattering
teeth, echoed from all
directions amidst the small glowing dust and the stench of rot
permeating the area.

Jack and Cedric are sweating, and random chattering slowly

getting louder through the eerie woods

Cedric stops suddenly because of a distant voice, a cry

belonging to a boy and a girl

Cedric: Follow me. I think I hear them.

Jack follows Cedric, and they encounter Chloe and Henry,

bound by tendrils

Harry & Chloe: Jack! Cedric!

Jack rushes forward, Cedric following, and get trapped by the

same vines trapping Harry and Chloe

A creature starts growing, blocking their path

Creature: These are my children! You shall not touch them!

Cedric: They are not your children! They have their own
parents! This is a misunderstanding!

Cedric: Calm down and let them go!

Creature: What are you talking about? They’re my children!

You can’t change that!

Cedric, whispering to Jack: Hey, this is hopeless, I’ll distract

that guy and you free them.

Jack: Ok…

Cedric is able to escape from the vines because of his

craftiness

Creature: How did you escape – come back here!

Cedric starts running around and distracting the creature, while

Jack, after some time, also escapes and tries to free Chloe and
Harry, but at the end, gets trapped by the vines also

Start of the song, where Cedric starts degrading the creature

for kidnapping children, and then claiming them to be his own.
Cedric starts condemning him and getting harsher with the
creature

Creature falters, allowing Cedric to free his friends, with the

creature itself melting into the ground

Chloe: Thank you guys!

Harry: That was unbearable.
(Harry and Chloe are a bit shook)

Jack: We need to go back and retrieve Amelia. She stayed

back to keep a creature company. Follow me and Cedric.

They trace their steps back to the cave

Jack: Hi, uh, is Amelia still here?

Creature: No. She already went back home. How was that big
guy?

Cedric: Yea, he was hot-headed. He melted into the ground

after we defeated him.

Creature: At least he’s gone now! Thank you kids for helping
us!

Jack and Cedric nod, and they continue back into town, with
Amelia greeting them at the entrance

Amelia: You guys are back!

Harry: Can we never go back there?

Jack: Yea, let’s never go back there.

Chloe: It’s almost dinnertime! We better head back to our
houses!

Harry: Yea, let’s split, and pretend this never happened in the
first place.

The five friends split ways, to go to their respective houses
