skills (sub-activity #1)
What is Line?
In geometry, a line is an infinitely long object with no width, depth, or
curvature.
A line is a one-dimensional figure, which has length but no width. A line is
made of a set of points which is extended in opposite directions infinitely.
Applying the movements on the line you made, this should be the
results that you got:
Why is it important to study about number line?
Number lines are important because they present numbers in real life.
Primarily, because they enable negative numbers to be represented in
a way that made sense
Refer to the UNESCO ALS Modules LS3 Mathematics and Problem-Solving
Skills Module 1 Lesson 3 page 44-42 or in the Power Point Lessons.
E. Abstraction Ask
(Making generalizations about the lesson)

What is number line?
In the number line, numbers to the right of zero are ________, while
numbers to the left of zero are ____________.
Why is it important to study about number line?
F. Application Engage
(Developing mastery) Let learners answer the different questions below.
Activity 1
Directions: Show where the given number is located by shading the
corresponding point or points in the number line.
Activity 2
Directions: Draw a number line with appropriate intervals. Then,
show the location of all the points in the given list. Label the points
with the correct name and describe the movement.
G. Valuing (Finding practical application How can you apply the movement of number line in your real-life situation?
