PART I: Article Summary


Motivation is fundamentally meant to facilitate behavioural alteration. It is a force that enables people to
move in the direction of certain goals and considerably enhance worker performance. The findings show that
when people are motivated, it dramatically increases both their effectiveness and efficiency for attaining
corporate objectives. Due to intense rivalry on a global scale, the research is very important to the companies
that are competing for the limited resources, such personnel.The research explained motivation’s significance
to the organization and also emphasized the worth and significance of workers to the growth of the
company.Therefore the main objectives of the article review was to find out the impact of motivation and its
types on employee performance. The cross sectional quantitative and qualitative descriptive survey design
was used for this investigation. Population of the study was comprised of the private employees working in
different private sectors out of which 25 private employees were randomly selected and data was collected
through questionnaires and interview method. A five-point Likert scale consisting of 10 items was used to
evaluate the motivation level of the respondents. Collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and
Pearson Correlation Coefficient. The findings showed that motivation, which may be either monetary or non-
monetary, is a key factor in any organization’s performance. The study revealed that there are significant
relationship between the motivation and the performance of the employees. Motivation can have high impact
on the performance of the Employees. The researcher should include the study area , the study period and
sample size determination method in the study. The company should also apply motivation method for their
employee to maximize productivity.The researcher should establish and present the research hypothesis and
also include the study variables in the research. The author should better recommend on his study findings
and also acknowledge the stake holders of that have contributed for the study.

PART II: ASSESSMENT OF DATA QUALITY
This article review on motivation and its impact on employee performance. Every organization, whether it is
public or private, needs to consider motivation of employee for the success of their organization. Motivation
is fundamentally meant to facilitate behavioural alteration and enables people to move in the direction of
certain goals.
The level of devotion people have to their work is referred to as motivation. Workplace motivation is
concerned with loyalty to a company, its goals, and aims. The heart of every company is its employees.
Collaboration among employees is a must for any business to operate smoothly and without hiccups. Along
with a great working relationship with the organizations top management, it is critical for employees to have
good connections with their coworkers.
The researcher used discriptiptive cross-sectional and both qualitative and quantitative research methodology
for the study. Primary data of private employees were randomly selected and data was collected by
questionnaires and interview methods for the study. How ever the researcher did not mentioned the study
area, the study period, sample size determination method, inclusion and exclusion criteria, data validity test
and sampling frame in the study. The study variables such as dependent and independent variables was not
mentioned. The study hypothesis was also omitted from the study.

PART III: Assessment of research design and method


Discriptive cross-sectional and quantitative and qualitative research methodology was used to investigate the
study. Primary data source of 25 private employee sample size were randomly selected and data was collected
by questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The collected data was analyzed by SPSS statistical
software to tabulate and crosstabulate the data. Then it was analyzed with the help of descriptive statistics
and Pearson Correlation Coefficient to describe and interpret the findings.
PART IV: Critical Evaluation of the Article
The researcher did not mentioned the study area, study period, sample size determination, inclusion and
exclusion criteria, data validity testing techniques. In addition to this the researcher did not recommended on
the research finding. The author did not established and presented the research hypothesis and study variables
in the study. The researcher also did not acknowledged different stakeholders that have contributed in the
study .
Conclusion
The study found that employee performance and satisfaction are significantly influenced by motivation.
Employee motivation has many different facets, and financial benefits, which include both internal and
external incentives, are only one. Organizations should motivate employees individually rather than as a
group since individual employee expectations vary from those of a group. One of management’s most
important duties is to make sure that employee work is more meaningful and to balance employee motivation
with organizational goals.
Recommendation
The researcher should include the study area , the study period and sample size determination method in the
study. The company should also apply motivation method fir their employee to maximize productivity. The
researcher should establish and present the research hypothesis and also include the study variables in the
research. The author should better recommend on his study findings and also acknowledge the stake holders
of that have contributed for the study.
