Planning standards:

There is a misconception that the children's playgrounds

should be part of a public park or a public park, but it is possible
for the children's playgrounds to be an independent unit
separate from any other recreational service. Or private, or
inside a large residential complex or inside a hospital or
commercial complex and the like, and it can also be of different
sizes according to the number, gender and age of the children
who come to it, the size of the land allocated for that, the
available financial resources, etc.
That the playgrounds are designated for children from the age
of (4-12) years - when providing this service, the following
should be taken into consideration:
A. Finding safe roads and crossings for the safety of children
reaching the site, whether by walking or using bicycles.

B. Choosing locations near residential neighborhoods, major

public parks, or any other suitable sites.
C. The playground site should be far from traffic and the causes
of accidents.
D. It is preferable for the children's playground to be inside
residential neighborhoods, such as inside a public park or
next to A school or an independent unit (children's garden),
so that it can be used by the largest possible number of
children.
Studies have suggested that the sites devoted to children's play should
contain four main areas: The first zone (400 square meters): it is
equipped with various games and serves about 70 children The second
zone (48,000 square meters): It is an open space for playing or running
in which more than one child participates. The third zone: (50 square
meters) and specializes in sitting, picnicking, and quiet play, and it
serves 15 children. The fourth zone (250 square meters): contains
paved roads for cycling and the use of sliding wheels in addition to
pedestrian paths.
There is another additional space that must be available in the
children's playground, which is: an area of approximately 100 square
meters for children’s companions for the purpose of observation and
observation. An area of approximately 40 square meters designated
for women and mothers and taking into account the factor of site
privacy. Studies have also indicated that the least possible area is To
serve one child in children's playgrounds is (20 square meters) and the
US National Recreation Services Authority has defined planning
standards for establishing children's playgrounds as follows:

1- A play area for children under the age of six is not less than 1000
square meters (usually in large residential communities, Entertainment
centers in residential neighborhoods)

2- A children's play area _ the proposed area of 2000 square meters

for every 100 children. The ideal area is 4047 square meters or more
(usually in public playgrounds - large public parks - school playgrounds).

3_ A play area for young children, the proposed area is 6000 square
meters for every 100 children (children's playgrounds - neighborhood
gardens and parks, parks and public parks).

4- Sports playgrounds for older children over the age of 12 years, the
proposed area is 600 square meters for every 100 children (parks, parks
that serve urban residents and large parks) .
The following points must also be taken into account
when choosing children's playground sites: that the site
is suitable for this purpose and does not represent a
danger to children, and that it is not close to residential
buildings about (10 square meters) and that the soil is
suitable for the installation of games and equipment and
planting plants Of all kinds .

The studies identified (1,200 square meters) the least

possible area to serve 60 children of different ages and
recommended constant attention to the operation and
maintenance of children's playgrounds, especially games
of all kinds, and the provision of interesting programs
and means of renewed entertainment for children.
building is far from industrial zones and to be in a healthy area of its
air purity, and the easy access of the sun to be able to be in
residential communities, to be able to access the kindergarten on
foot on feet with ease and Near Kindergarten from children's
homes can feel safe.

To be connected to the overall road to facilitate access to them, the kindergarten

* The project is located next to a major saw 30 meters from the north and limits
the west of the west branch with 15 meters and through the main and secondary

entrance to the kindergarten .

* Auto movement is dense on site due to a major street causing high noise must
be used by the construction of a good building in sound insulation .

* Surrounding the project is residential areas .

The scheme shows the project and the
movement of the projects that cause noise and
likely sites and should be taking the importance
of establishing a wall that is surrounding the
project for public safety for children.
1- The temperature is high in southern Iraq, so
it is necessary to take into account the
dimensions of the classrooms, which are the
most used by children, from the attic rays of
the sun, and solutions can be found through
sun breakers .
2_ The prevailing winds in Iraq are the north
and northwest winds that come loaded with
dust..so the open spaces must be opposite to
this direction, and a solution can be created
that mitigates the influence of the winds by
creating a belt of afforestation. Works to cool
the atmosphere and reduce humidity.

the day and its intensity gradually. The sun’s
refractors should be placed in the displayed
