materials needed
These are the material suggestions if you want to make the model as shown in the photo.
You can use any material or color substitutions that you would like, as long as they are in the
same quantities as the material that you are substituting.

• Glue. Preferably the liquid kind. Hot glue, glue sticks, and adhesive tape either make a
mess of your model or just don’t stick well enough to hold it together.
• 2 sheets Red cardstock - 12” x 12”
• 1 sheet Black cardstock - 12” x 12” or 8.5” x 11”
• 1 sheet Yellow cardstock - 12” x 12” or 8.5” x 11”
• 1 sheet Orange cardstock - 12” x 12” or 8.5” x 11”

This design may have both mountain and valley fold lines. This means that some lines will
fold in and others will fold out depending on the design. You’ll need to watch the line
pattern and be sure you are folding the paper in the right direction.

Before beginning assembly, make sure to identify, label, and fold all Glue piece B2 to the inside of piece R1 just behind the word
your pieces. To fold the along the dynamite letters, use the corner of DYNAMITE. Be sure that the fold lines on B2 and R1 line up.

It should look like this. Next, glue the tab that runs the length of the dynamite stick to the
inside. Finish by gluing the end flaps down.

It should look like this once it has been glued together. Identify the section directly opposite the word DYNAMITE on each
stick and then mark the sections on each side of it. These are the
sections that will be glued to the other sticks. Be sure that the word
DYNAMITE is facing directly out from the center on each stick.

Glue the dynamite straps (B1) around the end of the three sticks. Glue all B4 pieces to the centers of each dynamite stick.
Center the strap halfway from the end of the word DYNAMITE and the
end of the stick.

Insert the pointed tab on B8 through the slot on B3 and glue it in Put a bend in both B6 pieces with a counter bend about 1/4” from the

Glue the ends of both B6 pieces onto B5 just at the counter bend. Glue Attach B7 by gluing one end horizontally to the top of B8 and over the
piece B8 to B5 at the counter bend in the middle so that it extends top of the 3 fuses. Wrap B7 around B5, gluing it as you go. This is
past B5 and the ends of both B6 pieces. meant to imitate a twisted fuse so it doesn’t need to be too tidy.

Finish attaching B7 by gluing down the end. It should look like this when you are finished.
