Foreword

This booklet contains a number of gospel

leaflets that I published in recent years. The aim
is to preach the gospel from different
perspectives and for the needs of different
readers. The salvation prepared by the sole true
God, the Creator of the universe, is the pressing
need of each human being, and should be
made known and obtained by everyone. As the
Bible says, “He desires all men to be saved and
to come to the knowledge of the truth.” The
Lord of creation who is full of loving kindness, is
eagerly yearning for you whom He created to
repent and turn to Him, enjoy the salvation that
He prepared and with Him accompanying you in
all your days ahead. Therefore, I sincerely hope
that you read this booklet with a humble heart,
receive the salvation of God, and obtain the
eternal blessing. May God bless you!

 1. Does God exist?
One may say, “I don’t believe there is any
God in the universe because I cannot see Him.”
In fact, we are very much confined by our
eyesight. Although we cannot see wind, air,
electric wave, electron, neutron, proton and
atom, yet nobody can deny the existence of
these substances.
Just think about this: from the past till now,
wherever there are men, there exists religion.
And religion exists only among human beings
but not in the animal’s world or plant’s world. It
is all because only men have souls and spirits
that enable them to communicate with the
spiritual world. An idiom says, “Among all living
things, only Man has spirit.” As said in the book
of Romans, chapter 1, verses 19 to 20 of the
Bible “For what can be known about God is
plain to them, because God has shown it to
them. Ever since the creation of the world His
invisible nature, namely, His eternal power and
deity, has been clearly perceived in the things
that have been made." Yes, the Creator of the

universe and everything in it is the only true
God. He reveals Himself to man in two different
ways in order to let Himself known to mankind.

(1) Man has spirit so that man can

communicate with God
When God created man, He gave him spirit,
so that he can know and communicate with God.
“For what can be known about God is plain to
them, because God has shown it to them.”
Through the spirit, man can know God. Just like
the receiver of a radio can receive the electric
wave from the radio station and broadcast
euphonious sound to the listener. However,
people always neglect their inner feelings and
callings from their spirit. Usually, we cry out to
God only when we are in despair or misery.
An idiom says, “Cry out to God when in
poverty.” Man is different from animals. When a
dog is being beaten, it will not cry to God or
idols, but man will do so. However, man is
deeply involved in sins and blinded by Satan.
He makes gods for himself, worships the
hand-made idols, and is slave to Satan. Under
Satan, man is always in a state of worry, fear

and restlessness.
For those who said that there is no god,
their inner parts would tell them that there is.
Master Confucius said, “There is a god up
above.”

(2) The whole creation proves the

Existence of God
All the things around us prove the
existence of a Creator. The Creator not only
gives us spirit so that we can know Him,
through His magnificent creation He reveals
Himself and His glory. The Scripture says, “The
heavens are telling the glory of God; and the
firmament proclaims His handiwork.”
(Psalm19:1) From the existence, the orderli-
ness and wonder of all things, it shows that the
Creator exists and He is magnificent.
A tall building can be built because of the
contribution from architects, designers and
constructors. The traffic network of a prosper-
ous city needs an accurate traffic controlling
system to guide vehicles on the street in order
to avoid confusion and traffic accidents. Let us
think about the infinite universe with so many

stars and planets moving around yet without
bumping into one another. This shows our
Creator’s elaborate design and creation. This
also reveals the existence of the omnipotent
Creator. The Scripture says, “All things were
made through Him, and without Him was not
anything made that was made.” (John 1:3)
“Upholding all things by the Word of His power.”
(Hebrew 1:3)

God can be proved by science

The ex-person in charge of the NASA once
said, “When human science has not yet
developed, we boasted that we can get rid of
God. But when scientists discover more and
more, we cannot but admit that science actually
shows the existence of God.” A statistics shows
that 92% of the latest three hundred scientists
are Christians, including Newton and Einstein.
Darwin, who put forward the theory of evolution,
repented and believed in God when he got older.
Although he wanted to withdraw the evolution
theory, it was all too late. Also, the three
astronauts who first landed on the moon in
1969 are Christians. Among them, one

astronaut became a missionary afterwards,
using scientific viewpoints to preach God’s
gospel.
Nowadays, scientists agree that the
universe was formed after one massive
explosion – the Big Bang, and that the universe
definitely has a beginning. Let us consider it in
details. In the beginning there were no
substances, nor energy, then how could
explosion take place? Explosion will result in
chaos, not order, just as a city after an
earthquake cannot turn into a more prosperous
city. If it were so, we would welcome earth-
quakes.
Scientists explain that this is a very special
explosion out of nothing but led to the existence
of this magnificent, orderly and beautiful
universe. Isn’t it just telling us the process of
creation by the Creator?
In addition, scientists confirm that the
universe got a beginning of supernatural law; it
just matches the revelation of the Bible that the
universe was created by God. The Scripture
says, “In the beginning, God created the
heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) The
Creator not only creates everything, He also

shows man His creation, so that man can know
Him.
Someone may say, “The source of the
universe comes from nature. I only believe in
nature but not in God.” What is “Nature” then?
Such belief is superstitious and deceiving.
The existence of God is an unchangeable fact.
The Creator not only uses the universe to
reveal Himself, He also sends His beloved Son
Jesus Christ to this world to be our Savior.
When everyone is lost in sins, Jesus Himself
seeks sinners ─ you and I. Because of our sins,
He was crucified. (This was recorded in history.)
He saved us from the future judgment, freed us
from the bondage of sin so that we can live in
amity with God and enjoy His great love.
Dear friends, our kind God has given you
this wonderful salvation. If you can humble
yourself, seek and believe in Him and let Him
be your Savior, you will be saved forever. You
can enjoy the wonderful presence of God.
Please pray and let Jesus enter your heart
and be your Savior.

 2. Who is the true God?
Let us analyze the topic objectively. Think
of the characteristics that a true God should
possess.

There is only one God

He must be the Creator of all substances,
the source of all living beings. He must not be a
creature nor a hand-made ‘God’. But an idol is a
hand-made ‘God’. Man makes idols and deifies
them. There are a lot of idols in this world with
different names. There are different ‘gods’ in
different villages or cities and there may be
even several ‘gods’ in one superstitious family.
If you objectively think about the origin of these
idols, you will realize that they are created by
man. Some of them are historical heroes and
had already turned into dust for years. Some
are legendary characters which are fictitious.
Moreover, as these idols of clay, wood, copper,
iron, gold or silver are made by man, they
cannot protect man or themselves. Instead,

they need man’s protection.
The Creator of heaven and earth reveal to
man through the Scripture, “In the beginning
God created the heavens and the earth.”
(Genesis 1:1) “All things were made through
Him, and without Him was not anything made
that was made.” (John 1:3) God is omnipotent,
omnipresent, and omniscient. Thus He does not
need man’s offering to Him. Instead He Himself
gives man life and breath and everything.
Anyone who trusts in God can enjoy His care
and protection.

Idol is not God

When Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a famous politician,
was a young child, his mother was a very
dedicated idol-worshipper. One day Dr. Sun
went with his mother to a temple and his mother
offered the idol a chicken. Wanting to find out
whether the idol would have the chicken as
meal or not, Dr. Sun stared at it for a very long
time. As nothing happened, Dr. Sun presumed
that the idol might be shy to eat before the
worshippers. So he left and went back there the
next day in order to find out the truth. He found

that the chicken was gone, but it was eaten by a
group of hungry rats. Also, as the fats of the
chicken stained the idol, the rats had bitten a
big hole on it. Without any doubt, Dr. Sun
concluded that he could not trust such idols that
cannot protect themselves. As he grew up, he
experienced God and accepted Jesus as his
Savior.
The one true God is omnipotent,
omniscient and omnipresent beyond the
confine of time or space. In all circumstances
our Lord Jesus Christ is the One True God.
When we pray devoutly to Him, we will
experience His help and presence wherever we
are, whereas idols cannot help you and they will
not accompany you. When facing an airplane
accident, you can go nowhere to ask idols for
help. When in danger, such as in a fire, the idols
need your help to bring them out of the scene
rather than giving you protection.
Idol-worshippers are in fact deceived by the
devil.

True God’s Salvation

In 1992, a company has granted its staff a

free round trip to California. Unfortunately, when
the plane flew over Grand Canyon, it
crash-dived downwards. On the plane a
Christian told one of his colleagues to pray to
Jesus for help. They both asked for God’s
mercy. In the end, all the passengers except
these two persons had passed away. These two
survivors only got foot-bone fracture.
Afterwards, journalists asked the non-Christian
survivor whether he believed in Jesus or not.
He replied definitely, “Of course I do. Jesus has
saved my life.” When we are in trouble, we can
realize how kind and powerful Lord Jesus Christ
is. All through the years and ages past,
Christians have experienced our Lord.

God is holy and righteous

God is holy. God is righteous. His standard
of morality is above that of man, whereas idols
are of the opposite. Idols do not care about sins.
Idol-worshippers would ask their idols to protect
them from being caught after committing crimes.
Some even rely on sorcery to commit crime.
Yet the one true God is a righteous judge. He
judges us according to our sins, including idol

worshipping. It is just like a prince allowing a
pauper to be his father, how humiliating to the
real father. The Scripture says, “In the past God
overlooked such ignorance, but now He
commands all people everywhere to repent.”
(Acts 17:30)
God gave His beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
to us to save us from our sins. Jesus was
crucified, died and was buried, on the third day
He arose from the dead. Whoever believes in
Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life.
Henceforth, he can enjoy peace and happiness
in God. He no longer needs to be afraid of the
devil as he has been freed from the devil’s
bondage. What a blessing!
Dear friends, God has given us this
miraculous and wonderful grace. Just do as the
Bible tells you to do. Pray to God devoutly and
loudly. Accept Jesus as your Savior. And that is
it.

 3. Do men have spirit
and soul?
Some people think that when men die, it is
just like a lamp with its oil burnt out, and every-
thing ends. Such people are short-sighted and
they try to enjoy life whenever they could. Let
us think about this carefully. If we just live in this
world for several decades and then vanish,
what is the difference between men and
animals? In fact, men are fundamentally differ-
ent from all animals. As the saying goes, “Only
Man has spirit among all living things.” Men are
superior to animals in that we have spirit and
soul. This is what God, the Creator, has
revealed to us through the Bible. The Bible tells
us that God created man according to His
image.

Men search for God because they

have spirits
Men, unlike the animals, have spirits, souls

and bodies. All animals have physical bodies
but without spirits. Men, however, have all these
three parts. Soul means emotions, will power
and thoughts. Spirit is the channel through
which we know and communicate with God.
That is why wherever there are men there
exists religion. With spirit, men naturally search
for God, just like a radio receiving electric
waves from the radio station. Though we cannot
see any electric waves, we have to admit that
they exist. In the same way, men have spirits
and souls, they naturally longed for God. As
Confucius said, “There is a God above our
head.” and “There is a God controlling
everything in the world.” However, as we are
living in sinful darkness, we are deceived by
devil to worship idols. As the Bible says, “The
god of this age has blinded the minds of
unbelievers.” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Therefore,
many people create fake gods – idols. As said
in the Bible, “For although they knew God, they
neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to
Him, but their thinking became futile and their
foolish hearts were darkened. Although they
claimed to be wise, they became fools and
exchanged the glory of the immortal God for

images made to look like mortal man and birds
and animals and reptiles.” (Romans 1:21-23)
There is no religion in the world of animals.
We have never seen monkeys worshiping idols
nor a monkey turning to an idol for help when
they are being chased by hunters. They have
no spirit, so they do not know and cannot
approach God. Men are different. An atheist
may not believe in God because of his
education background or his personal views,
but in crisis, when his own intelligence, wealth,
power and ability cannot save him, his spirit will
lead him to God. So, even atheists will seek for
God’s help and turn to Him in crisis.

Men’s fear of ghosts proves the

existence of the inner spirit
Animals never fear ghosts because they do
not have the channel – the spirit, to get in touch
with the spiritual world. Men are different.
Imagine an unbeliever walking past a cemetery
at night. A cat jumping out all of a sudden will
definitely scare him. Although he may assure
himself that there is no ghost in the world, his
body will be shaking if suddenly a dog jumps out

to chase the cat. If he really encounters a ghost,
he will be scared to death. This is experienced
by many people who have met ghosts.
These people originally do not believe in
ghosts, but once they have the encounter, their
hair will stand on its end. They will lose control
and become numb. However, for believers in
the true God Jesus Christ, they no longer fear
ghost. It is the ghosts that fear us because we
have Jesus living within us.

Men will think about the future

proves that men have spirit
Another thing that differentiates men from
animals is that they will think about the future.
The first Emperor of China was afraid of death
though he has power. He sent a troop of people
to look for medicine that may enable him to live
forever. In the end, he could not escape from
the clutches of death. Actually, men will look for
eternity because God has put the spirit in us.
The spirit is everlasting, so everyone will think
about the future and worry about it.
The Bible says, “He has set eternity in the
hearts of men.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11) How true!

The experience of our ancestors verified this
point. As the saying goes, “If one does not
receive retribution in this life, he will receive it in
the next.” This shows that we believe there is
another life after this current one. Another
saying goes like this, “When a man is about to
die, his words will be kind.” It implies that men
believe in eternity. Even the wickedest man will
say a few good words before he dies,
apparently for fear of the coming judgment.

Jesus is the only salvation

The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is
death.” (Roman 6:23) Before the holy and
righteous God, all men have sinned and are
controlled by the power of death. But death is
not the end; it is the door leading us to eternity.
The end is either eternal life or eternal death.
According to the Bible, “Just as man is destined
to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
(Hebrews 9:27) Oh! Who can save our spirit
and soul from the righteous judgment of God?
Only Jesus can. There is no salvation apart
from Him because He came to the world and
became a man, to die on the cross for our sins.

He was raised from the dead on the third day,
ascended to heaven, and gives all believers the
Holy Spirit. Whoever believes in Him is not
condemned but has eternal life.
Dear friends, God loves you and He has
prepared salvation for you. Once you accept
Jesus as your Savior, you will freely receive
eternal life. In addition, you can count on Him at
any time.

 4. Is Bible the
Inspiration of God?
The Bible is the most unique and extraordi-
nary book in the world. It is not ordinary
because it contains words inspired by the only
true God who is the Creator. Throughout all
generations, Bible is the No. 1 best selling book.
Until now, the Bible has been translated into
1,600 languages, numerous people of all
nations and countries turned to God, received
the salvation and are kept from sins because of
the Bible. One may ask, “How to prove that the
Bible is the words of God?” Let us briefly
consider this question in a few aspects.

God Himself tell us that Bible is His

Word
The Bible clearly states, "All Scripture is
inspired by God and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting, and training in righteous-
ness." (2 Tim 3:16). You can also find in many

places of the Bible "Declared the Lord of hosts"
or “God said”. The Bible is the Word of the
almighty God spoken to the people He
made. On the contrary, there is no other
religious literature which claims that it is the
word of god. They are merely some religious
ethics found by some people who are only
humans.

The Bible is the only book which

reveals the origin and end of the
universe
There are a lot of religious literature and
famous classics on philosophy in the world, but
none of them could reveal the origin of the
universe and its creatures, the birth of human
beings and prophecy about the end of the world.
All of them are the products of human minds,
therefore they cannot tell things happened
thousands of years ago or predict things to be
happened hundred of years later, as humans
are limited by time and space. What they can
discover is only philosophy of life. Let’s look at
the well known Buddhism. Buddhist literature
never mentions how things were created or how
life came into being. They only state the cause

and effect – ‘interrelation’ between things.
This is because the founder, Siddhartha
Gautama, was only a human. Siddhartha
himself cannot overcome the power of death.
In order to be freed from the suffering of sin and
vanity, Siddhartha left his family to find the truth,
yet he died in his old age.
Although the Evolution Theory tried to
explain the origin of the universe from the
viewpoint of evolution, until now it still cannot
prove how the universe began, how the first
single cell came, how life came into being and
what would happen at the end of the world
because it is set by human beings who are finite.
However, the Bible is entirely different, as it
clearly explains the order, process and purpose
of God’s creation, and reveals the prophecies
concerning the end of the world. The accuracy
of the Bible’s prophecies endures the test of
history and most of them have been thoroughly
verified.

The Bible’s revelations are in

accordance with discoveries of
science

 As early as in 2000 B.C., God already
revealed the mystery of the creation of the earth
in His words. The Bible says, “He stretches out
the north over empty space; He hangs the earth
on nothing.” (Job 26:7) How could anyone know,
as far as several thousand years ago, that the
earth is hung in the universe, and what power
keeps it there without falling? Such fact was
unbelievable in those days. Nevertheless,
modern scientists have discovered and
confirmed that the earth is hung in the air and
revolves around the sun. Another Bible verse
says, “It is He who sits above the circle of the
earth.” (Isaiah 40:22) God revealed in His
Words three thousand years ago that the earth
is a circle, which was never known by the
people in those days.
Furthermore, as early as in 1500 B.C., it
was already recorded in the Book of Judges,
Chapter 5, verse 20 of the Bible that
"Stars...from their courses (orbits)..." which tell
us that stars in space have their own orbits.
Such saying corresponds with the discovery by
modern scientists. No one in the days before
Christ knew that stars have their own orbits, yet
it has already been written in the Bible in 1500

B.C. that stars move along orbits. No doubt the
Bible is the Word of God.
Besides, when modern astronomers were
studying the orbit of the sun, they discovered
that a day is missing which they did not
understand no matter how they researched on
the subject.
They finally found the answer in the Bible
which recorded that about three thousand years
ago, God’s chosen people, the Israelites, fought
and greatly defeated the Canaanites who had
caused the anger of God due to their promiscu-
ity and sins. At that time it was near sunset,
Joshua, the leader of Israel, lifted his hand and
prayed to God that the sun and moon stood still
where they were. Then, the sun and moon
stopped for about a whole day (23 hours and 20
minutes). So, it was not a whole day yet (For
details see Joshua 10:6-14).
Later, the astronomers found in other Bible
verses the remaining 40 minutes which, when
added up, were precisely 24 hours. That
scripture recorded that a king of Judah prayed
to God for recovery when he was seriously ill.
He asked God for a sign although God, through
a prophet, had promised to cure him. God

answered his prayer by bringing the shadow on
the sundial, which was then used to measure
time, ten degrees backward by which it had
gone down. This had resulted in the delay of 40
minutes, which precisely made up the one
missing day that the astronomers were looking
for (For details see Isaiah 38:1-8).

The testimony of Noah’s Ark

The Bible recorded that about one
thousand years after men were created by God,
men sinned and fell utterly. God, through the
righteous man Noah, preached to that
generation for 120 years, yet they did not repent.
Therefore, God through flood judged the people
of that generation, but saved Noah and his
family of eight members with an ark, who
became the ancestors of human beings.
Subsequently, modern archaeologists discov-
ered a huge vessel buried in a glacier on top of
the mountains of Ararat in Turkey. After detailed
examination, the vessel was confirmed to be
the Noah’s ark that rested on the mountains of
Ararat as recorded in the Bible (for details see
Genesis 8:4). Archaeological discovery

confirmed the reliability of the Bible as it is the
Word of God.

The restoration of Israel

During the time when people of all nations
worshipped idols that were made by their own
hands, Abraham, the forefather of Israelites,
avoided all idols and worshipped the true God
of creation solely. Therefore, God chose
Abraham’s descendents, now the Israelites,
whom God specified that whenever they turned
away from God to worship idols, God’s
judgment would fall on them, and they would be
chased up to all nations. However, they would
be blessed again if they repented. Subse-
quently, Israelites not only turned away from
God, they even crucified God’s beloved son
Jesus Christ on the cross, and vowed, “His
blood be on us and on our children.” (Matthew
27:25) As a result, the people of Israel actually
experienced numerous disasters and sufferings
in history, including the killing of six million Jews
by Hitler during the Second World War.
Theoretically, how could such a small
nation as Israel restore their country after being

destroyed for nearly 2,000 years? It also has to
confront the surrounding Arabic countries
whose populations and power are far greater
than theirs! These countries had in many times
formed alliances to fight against Israel, though
each time they were greatly defeated as the
true God of all creation is in control. Jesus had
already prophesied more than 2000 years ago
that the dispersed people of Israel would one
day be restored. This is also a sign of the end of
the world. Events after events are unfolding
according to the prophecies of the Bible.
Israel was formally restored in 1948.
Some were skeptical about the tribulations
at the end of the world as mentioned in the
Bible. The high frequency of earthquakes,
famines, wars, plagues, natural disasters and
human atrocities happened recently proves that
the Bible is correct. Furthermore, modern
nuclear weapons can destroy the earth more
than twenty thousand times! Today, armament
race among nations never stops. All these
cause us to take the prophecies of the Bible
seriously, and believe deeply in God’s true and
reliable Word – the Bible.

Bible provides us with the wisdom of
salvation
The Bible not only reveals God’s creation, it
also speaks about God’s will and how He loved
the world. Although on the one hand men
enjoyed God’s creation, on the other hand they
committed sins, denied and forsaken Him, yet
He still loved them and sent His only begotten
Son Jesus who became a scapegoat of men’s
sin and was crucified on the cross for all of us.
On the third day Jesus resurrected from the
dead, ascended and sat at the right side of
God’s throne. For those who believe in Him,
their sins were pardoned because of the
precious blood of Jesus, and they have the holy,
almighty God as the Shepherd of their lives,
their souls have everlasting salvation in the
coming generation eternally. As the Bible says:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16).
Dear friends, the kind and loving God has
already revealed His salvation through the Bible
and sent His beloved Son Jesus to become our

Savior. Please turn to Him with a humble heart,
believe and open your mouth to accept Him as
your Savior, so that you can have eternal life
and fully experience His care in your life.

 5. Jesus’ wonderful
salvation
“Jesus Christ came into the world to save
sinners”, yet many people have not heard about
this message. Some may have heard about it
but are still in doubt. Actually, the fact that Jesus
came into the world is indisputable. Both the
Bible and history have it in record. Almost all
calendars in this world are based on the birth of
Jesus. For example, the year 2005 A.D. was
counted from the day Jesus was born. The
much-celebrated Christmas is to remember the
birth of Jesus.
Besides, the red-cross sign, which
symbolizes the act of rescuing, derives from
Jesus dying on the cross. He died on the cross
for our sins. He shed His blood to save us from
the punishment for our sins – that is the eternal
perishing. So, the whole world uses red-cross
to represent saving.
The common saying of ‘scapegoat’ also
derives from the dying of the innocent Jesus in

sinners’ place. Jesus received God’s righteous
trial in our place to save us from the trial of the
holy, righteous God. However, although we are
familiar with the red-cross sign and calendar,
we do not come to know Jesus who loves us
and sacrifices for us. The said sign and
calendar used by different countries and races
is the wonderful act of God. He wants all of us
to know about the salvation He has prepared.
Believe in Jesus Christ now and receive the
eternal life!

Humans have all sinned

According to the Bible, “Christ Jesus came
into the world to save sinners.” (I Timothy 1:15)
and “for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) Some people may
argue that they have not killed anyone nor have
they violated any laws, so they disagree to be
called sinners. However, from the perspective of
God, sin is not confined to the external act, but
the inner motive as well.
For example, someone hates his enemy
and always thinks about a way to trap, attack
and even stab him with a knife, though he is too

timid for the acts. Such a man still appears to be
a good man because he has not put his evil
thoughts into action. However, in the eyes of
God who knows our hearts, the man has sinned
because his heart is filled with malice. As said in
the Bible, “But I tell you that anyone who looks
at a woman lustfully has already committed
adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:28)
and “For from within, out of men’s hearts, come
evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder,
adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy,
slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils
come from inside and make a man unclean.”
(Mark 7:21-23)
Wherever there are men, there will be fights
and hatred. There are always struggles and
competitions among men, with the weak being
the prey of the stronger ones. Even in families
which are supposed to be filled with love and
kindness, yet each family has its own trouble.
Yes, there is something wrong in men!
Even the kindest man on earth dare not
reveal his thoughts to others. If so, he will be too
ashamed of himself. In front of the all-knowing
God, who can be blameless? The Bible says,
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and

beyond cure. Who can understand it? I the Lord
search the heart and examine the mind, to
reward a man according to his conduct,
according to what his deeds deserve.”
(Jeremiah 17:9-10)

Man cannot save himself

Perhaps, some may say, “I can make up
my mind to turn a new way of life. I will triumph
over the power of sin.” To such persons, they do
not understand man’s real nature. “I know that
nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful
nature. For I have the desire to do what is good,
but I cannot carry it out.” (Romans 7:18) Men
can determine not to be greedy, but when
tempted by money, he cannot control himself.
Men may determine to have a clean heart, but
his mind is filled with evil desires. As the saying
goes, “If the caves are low, how dare we not
bow our heads?” This explains why men’s
morality declines despite scientific
advancement. The more corrupted men
became, the more sophisticated the ways they
will be using to commit sins. Oh! Men have
gone wrong.

 Jesus is the salvation
The Bibles says, “You see, at just the right
time, when we were still powerless, Christ died
for the ungodly.” and “But God demonstrates
His own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rome 5:6, 8) Oh,
God’s love is so deep! When we were helpless
and deep in sin, He sent His beloved son to
receive trial for us. He was nailed on the cross
for the sins we have committed in order to save
us. Jesus becomes the scapegoat for all of us.
He not only saves all those who believe in Him
from perishing in Hell, which is a punishment for
all sinners, but also enables them to triumph
over sins and all kinds of tribulation in this life.
In history, there were countless Christians who
experienced the power of Jesus’ salvation
which completely changed their lives. For
example, one who got hooked on gambling
would experience a new life triumph over
gambling temptation after accepting Jesus as
his Savior.
Dear friends, Jesus loves you. He under-
stands your need more than anyone else. He
wants to save you and pardon all the sins you

have committed in your life. God’s eternal life
will also be yours. If you repent and turn to Him
sincerely, believe and accept Him to be your
personal Savior, you will be saved and blessed
in the present life and the life to come.

 6. Jesus, the Savior
In the beginning when God created man,
He gave man a spirit and man became a living
soul. What differentiates man from animal is
that man has the spirit and soul. In the world of
animal, there is no religion. Animal will not seek
God when facing crisis because they do not
have spirit. Without the spirit, no one can
understand the spiritual world. Man is different.
In desperation and crisis, man by nature will
seek for help from gods. This is why wherever
there is man, religion exists. Man creates idols
to suit his own needs, thus different kind of
religions keep coming up. Who is the real God?
What kind of religions does man create? Let us
explore this issue objectively and humbly.

The leader of a religion is not God

When we look at the founder of each
religion, we found that they are all man.
Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism,
is one example. Siddhartha grew up in a palace.

When he was 29, he found life utterly
meaningless, so he left his wife and children
and became a monk, wandering everywhere to
seek for the truth of life. Finally, under a bodhi
tree he thought of some theories. He became a
guru and founded Buddhism. And he died in his
old age. He never proclaimed that he is God.
Similarly, all religious leaders are men only.
They all cannot save themselves from death,
sins or devil. Jesus is the real God, surpassing
the realm of religion. He does not need to
commit Himself to self-cultivation because He
Himself is holy, righteous and love. The Bible
says about Him, “Through Him all things were
made; without Him nothing was made that has
been made.” (John 1:3) He does not need to
seek for the Truth because He Himself is the
Truth. He said, “I am the way and the truth and
the life.” (John14:6)

Men cannot save themselves

All religions in the world are connected with
‘teaching’, that is to teach people to be good.
Only Christianity emphasizes on salvation.
This is further confirmed by all founders of

religions who have called themselves ‘teachers’,
but Jesus is our ‘Savior’. Religions created by
men cannot change human corrupted nature.
On the contrary, the Salvation from God is what
we all needed. We are all controlled by sin. If
we read newspapers, it is easy to find
selfishness, pride, hatred, deceit, malice, greed
and hypocrisy in men. This explains why there
are strife and struggles of all kinds wherever
there is man. We cannot but sigh that there is
something wrong in men!

Only Jesus is the Savior

Yes, men have gone wrong. We find that
no matter how perfect a law system is, men will
try every means to find the loopholes. So, what
we need today is not the ability to distinguish
the right from wrong, but the power to overcome
evil. The Bible describes man in this way; “I
know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in
my sinful nature.” (Romans 7:18) The
all-knowing God understands our situation.
When people were still committing sins, God
sent His beloved son, Jesus, to the world.
Jesus died for us on the cross and received the

judgments of God in our places. Because of
Him, we can be freed from the anger and trial of
God as well as the final punishment of eternal
fire. Besides, through Jesus’ resurrection, God
gives us the eternal life that triumphs over death,
Satan and sin. All those who believe in Jesus
will not perish, but have eternal life.
Let me make an analogy. If a boy who does
not know how to swim fell into the sea, and a
teacher came and laughed at him, pointing out
that he deserved it because of his disobedience;
or another coach came by and immediately
taught the boy how to swim (how could the boy
learn to swim at that critical moment?); or a
kind-hearted man came and jumped into the
sea to save him, who was the boy’s saver?
The latter one of course.

Salvation is found in no one else

Dear friends, when people are suffering
and in hopelessness, Jesus comes to seek for
them, this includes you and me. Not through
man or angel, the almighty God Himself
becomes our Savior. Apart from this, there is no
other salvation in the world. As said in the Bible,

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is
no other name under heaven given to men by
which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) Jesus is
man’s only Savior. He not only saves us from
God’s trial in the future, He also is our Savior
now in our life time. All believers can testify that
we are freed from the clutches of Satan, death
and sin, and we can overcome all hardship in
life because of Him.
Now, Jesus wants to save you so that you
can experience His boundless grace and love.
What should you do to get this precious gift?
You need not spend a dollar nor should you try
to change yourself. You just need to turn to
Jesus and pray. Admit that you are a sinner,
believe and accept Jesus as your Savior.
Salvation will then be yours and Jesus will live
in you through the Spirit forever. What a
blessing!

 7. Are you born again?
About two thousand years ago, there was
in Israel a ruler of the Jews called Nicodemus.
Nicodemus was a knowledgeable person,
well-respected and full of life experiences.
One day, he secretly came to meet Jesus the
Son of God at night, hoping that he could learn
from Jesus the way of obtaining the everlasting
life. Nicodemus had seen and heard about
miracles performed by Jesus, including the
lame could walk, the leprous cured, the blind
could see, the deaf could hear, the dead
resurrected as well as the powerful preaching of
Jesus. Therefore he humbly sought Jesus.
However, Jesus did not preach to him but
pinpointed his needs, saying, “Most assuredly, I
say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot
see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) The
meaning of ‘see’ in the original text is
‘understand’. Therefore, the meaning of the
above scripture is: if one is not born again, he
cannot understand the things concerning the
kingdom of God. ‘The kingdom of God’ refers to

heaven. ‘Born again’ refers to the created man
receiving a new life, the life of God, apart from
the physical life he has.
God’s only begotten Son Jesus not only
pinpointed the needs of that man, but also the
needs of all the people in the world. Only when
men are really born again and receive the life of
God, will they be able to understand the
kingdom of God. Otherwise it is impossible for
the created men, using their own limited
knowledge, to understand the almighty God, the
Lord of creation.

The need to be born again

We all agree that only having life of the
same kind can communicate with and know
each other. Lifeless things cannot communicate
with living creatures. For example, girls are fond
of dolls, yet they cannot communicate with each
other. Besides, living creatures can
communicate with and get to know each other
only if they possess the same kind of life. Men
cannot communicate with plants and animals
because their lives are different. Although you
have a dog which can recognize you by

wagging its tail, yet it cannot chat with you, it will
continue to wags its tail no matter when you are
sad or happy. On the contrary, if one has a son,
even if his son is not as intelligent as others, the
son can still chat with his father and understand
his heart because they have the same life.
It is impossible for us, as a created human,
to fully understand the Lord of creation. As our
lives are different from the life of God, how can
we understand Him? Even the best scientists in
their lifetime can only learn a small part of the
laws of the nature created by God, not to
mention knowing God Himself.

Having God’s life can understand

things concerning God
With careful observation over the years, I
can see that a person’s knowledge about Jesus
will change completely after believing in Jesus.
For example, there was a PhD research student
who had originally many queries when he first
heard about the gospel. He was full of doubts
when he read the Bible. Each time we talked
about the gospel, he would raise a lot of
questions. Although I have provided answers,

next time when we met again, he would further
raise even more new questions.
One day during our conversation, the Holy
Spirit opened and touched his heart. He
sincerely accepted Jesus as his Savior and
received the life of God. Wonderful things
happened thereafter. From then onward he
greatly admired God’s Word – the Bible, which
he understood well. All queries seem to have
vanished. Even he himself was surprised about
this. How could a science researcher change
completely after he accepted Jesus? This is
because he has received God’s life and
therefore he could know about God.

How God imparts His life to us

In order to receive God’s eternal life, the
created men have to get rid of the obstacles
between God and men – sins. Men’s hearts are
filled with selfishness, pride, jealousy, malice,
craftiness, fraud, deceit, hatred, anger and all
kinds of passions and desires which are so
filthy and disgraceful. In such conditions, the
holy and righteous God cannot live within us.
Moreover, we also have to face the future

judgment. However, God is full of love, as the
Bible says, “All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned, every one, to his own way; and
the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
(Isaiah 53:6) This is how God loves us, when
every one of us because of sins turned to his
own way and away from God, facing God’s
future judgment alone, God sent His beloved
son Jesus to this world to be a scapegoat and
died for our sins, bore the judgment of God for
us, so that those who believed in Him could be
saved from God’s judgment and shall not
perish.
Apart from this, the salvation accom-
plished by Jesus on the cross also enabled His
believers to overcome the power of sin. As
Jesus says, “Unless a grain of wheat falls into
the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it
dies, it produces much grain.” (John 12:24)
Jesus, like this grain of wheat, had fallen into
the ground and died – symbolizes that He, as a
man, came to the earth and was crucified on
the cross for our sins and was buried.
However, He rose from the dead on the third
day, releasing His holy and victorious life, so
that those who believe in Him shall avoid God’s

future judgment and the result of being thrown
into the lake of fire. Moreover, they can now
receive the life of God, become God’s children,
and can enjoy and experience Father God.
How blessed! This is like a grain falls into the
ground and continues to grow, and produces
much grain. All those who truly repent, believe
and accept Jesus are grain produced by Him.
Jesus says: “Most assuredly I say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he
cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5)
Water symbolizes repentance, meaning when a
man truly turns to God, opens his mouth to pray,
believes and accepts Jesus as Savior, God’s
Spirit – the Holy Spirit will enter into this man,
imparts God’s life to him. This is the meaning of
being born again.

New life, new living

We know that every kind of life has its
special characteristics. For example, birds fly in
the air, fishes swim in the water, pigs love filthy
environment and sheep are relatively
cleaner……. Similarly, men’s life is under the
control of sin, just like pigs. Men incline to the

filth of sin. Therefore, God has to save men,
through the salvation accomplished by His
beloved son, to let all those who believe in Him
receive new life which is God’s holy and
victorious life, so that men could have a new
living. This is why so many people experience
behavioral change after believing in Jesus:
some had been addicted to gambling, yet they
kicked off this bad habit after turning to the Lord;
some had indulged in sexual immorality, yet
they repented after believing in the Lord; some
had been narrow-minded and loved to provoke
others, after believing in Jesus they became
peace maker, able to forgive and love others. I
heard and witnessed numerous such testimo-
nies in my many years of preaching experience.
I confirm that: “Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name under heaven given
to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
We have the life of God when we have Jesus,
and we have a new living when we have the life
of God.
Dear friends, this is what you need today!
Please repent and turn to God, believe and
accept Jesus as your personal Savior. You will
immediately receive Lord Jesus as the Savior of

your life. Your sins will be forgiven and you will
receive God’s eternal life and experience all the
blessings of being born again.

Please follow the prayer below

loudly and sincerely:
“Lord Jesus, I believe and accept you
as my Savior. Please forgive all the sins that
I have committed in my life. Please enter
into my heart and impart your life and Holy
Spirit to me. I entrust my whole life to you,
pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
If you have truly believed and accepted
Jesus by following the above prayer,
congratulations to you! God has already
pardoned your sins because of Jesus. From
now on you should pray to God daily, be close to
Him in your soul and spirit. You will experience
and enjoy Him more and more, and gradually
live a new way of living. May God bless you!
