Warm up - Hello song
5 mins - Ask students to sing along the song.
- Remind the Class Rules.

Review
- Stick the 5 family words/ pictures around the class.

- Ask students to point to the correct pictures/words when they are singing
along the song.

Lead in:
- Show students a picture of the story in Exercise 3 – Lesson 1 and tell the

5 mins - Use family flashcards to introduce vocabulary: aunt, uncle, cousins.
- Ask students to repeat in chorus.

- Tell students the rules of the game.
Review - Ask them to put their own family photos in the Magic bag.
3 mins - Play music and students pass the 2 balls green and red to one another.
- Stop music. The student, who is holding the green ball, will stand up,
take out a photo, guess whose photo it is. Then invite one friend and ask
Is this your aunt/ mom/dad/….?
- The student, who is holding the red ball will stand up and answer the
question with Yes, he/she is. or No, he/she isn’t.
- Do as the same way with other photos in the Magic bag.

Presentation Lead in:


5 mins - Hold up a photo of the teacher’s family member to say about it.
- Say: This is my uncle. whole class
- Hold up another photo (one of the photos from the Magic bag), invite

- That student will give a full answer with Yes or No.

- Give each group 2 blank word cards.
- Ask each group to write a half of a family word into each blank card.

- Each group has a writer, and the others are runners.
- The runners take turns to run to the cards, look and run back to groups to
tell the writer about the words (they have to match these two halves of
words to make a complete word).

- The winner is the first group who finishes the task correctly. Then they
have to read these words aloud.

7 mins - Ask students to repeat the lines. Slowly, and several times.
- Divide the class into 4 groups. Each group has to chant one line.
- Play the chant again. Each group should stand up and sit down whole class
again when they hear their line.
• At level:
- Divide the class into two groups: “Nn” and “Oo.”
- Play the chant again. Students stand up when they hear their
groups’ sounds/letters/words.
- Switch groups and repeat.
• Above level:
- Students do both mimes for “Nn” and “Oo”.

- Students draw the letters in the air when they hear the /k/ sound
each time.
