when we departed from the school premises. We arrived at the Kanak Beacon Hotel in
Ahmedabad at around 9:30 AM after a few stops for washroom breaks and refreshments.
After freshening up and having breakfast, we left the hotel at 11:00 AM for our first visit to the
Gujarat Vidhan Sabha. We arrived at the venue around 12:00 PM and were introduced to various
aspects of the legislative process, including the roles of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker,
different types of galleries for reporters and public, and special seating arrangements for VVIP
guests. We also learned that every session's report is available in the library within the building.
After lunch, we visited the Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) at around 3:00 PM. Here, we
gained knowledge about earthquakes and the instruments used to detect them. We also saw
graphs plotted when these values are found, with different colors representing different
channels (R, G, B).
From ISR, we proceeded to the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) at around 4:30 PM. We
learned about the importance of law, why it is considered a powerful subject, and various other
aspects of law and its applications. We also witnessed students engaged in social work, such
as serving unserved food to laborers and needy individuals.
We had snacks at GNLU's dining hall before heading to IIT Gandhinagar at around 6:30 PM. We
explored various facilities on campus, including sports grounds, indoor sports facilities, gym,
art room, and hostel buildings. We also witnessed their supercomputer and makers' lab with
advanced machinery like 3D printers.
After dinner, we returned to our hotel at around 9:30 PM and were instructed to wake up at 6:30
AM the next day.
Day 2: July 16, 2023
We woke up at 6:30 AM and had breakfast at 7:30 AM before checking out of the hotel at 8:30

photographs before moving on to our next destination.
At around 10:15 AM, we visited Mahatma Gandhi's Ashram in Ahmedabad. Here, we learned
about Gandhi's struggles for Indian independence, his opposition to salt tax, and his various
contributions to the country. We also had lunch there.
Our next visit was to the Gujarat High Court at around 12:50 PM, where we met Advocate
General Mitesh Amin. He shared valuable insights into law and its applications, as well as his
experiences handling media attention and pressure.
From there, we proceeded to IndianINX GIFT City in Gandhinagar at around 4:00 PM. We learned
about how the market functions, the role of IndianINX, and various other financial concepts
such as IFSCA, SEBI, ESMA, BSC, and FEMA.
We concluded our trip with dinner at around 8:30 PM in Vadodara before returning to Surat by
bus. We arrived back in Surat at around 1:00 AM on July 17, marking the end of our educational
excursion.
Overall, this trip provided us with a wealth of knowledge about various subjects and institutions
in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. The experiences shared by our guides and experts added
significant value to our understanding of these topics.
Weather Conditions: The weather during our trip was generally hot and sunny during the day
with temperatures ranging from 35°C to 40°C (95°F-104°F). However, it cooled down
significantly in the evenings.
Conclusion: The Chatra Sansad trip was an enriching experience that broadened our
knowledge on various subjects and institutions. We express our gratitude to our teachers and
guides for organizing this trip and providing us with valuable insights into these topics.
Recommendations: It is recommended that future Chatra Sansad trips include more
interactive sessions with experts in each field to facilitate a better understanding of complex
concepts. Additionally, providing more time for students to ask questions during presentations
would be beneficial.
