General Overview:
• Assignment 02:
– Contributes 60% to your year mark.
– Opens on Wednesday, 17 April 2024 at 08h00.
– Closes on Wednesday, 24 April 2024 at 21h00.
• Extensions will not be granted for this assessment. Only
exceptional cases will be considered. Additionally, it must be
requested prior to the close of the assessment via email and
only with evidence.
– Online assessment:
• Online quiz.
• Mostly MCQ-type assessment.
Guidelines and specifics:
• Some specifics about the assignment:
– Taking place entirely online.
– Mostly MCQs, one match the column question.
– Covering Learning Units 3-6.
– A total of 28 questions. • 2 marks per MCQ.

Guidelines and specifics:
• This assessment is designed to help prepare you for the exam. Thus:
– You have three attempts at the quiz. BUT each attempt is only open for two hours.
• Any open attempts will submit automatically at the end of the session.
– UNLIKE the exam, you will be able to move freely between questions.
– Moodle proctoring will be utilized. Meaning, you need to allow camera access.
• The Moodle Proctoring tool is for MCQ (Quiz) assessments only and captures your picture via
webcam to identify who is attempting the MCQ (Quiz) assessment.
• It will capture your picture and screenshot automatically.
• For the Webcam proctoring tool to function, you need to provide camera & screen sharing
permissions.
• Once you have provided the permissions, you will see your picture and will then be able to
complete the Quiz assessment.
• If you do not give permission, you will not be able to complete the Quiz assessment.
• NB. Make sure you have updated your profile on Moodle for proctoring.
• Questions?
– Can I use a device without a camera? No because you will not be able to access the
assessment. You need to have access to a webcam so that proctoring can be
allowed.
– If I just allow my webcam, is that ok for proctoring? Yes. This is a requirement for
proctoring.
– What is the grading method if each attempt has different marks? The highest mark
obtained will be taken.
– What if I do not have data? Can I still access the assessment? In theory, yes.
However, I have requested more clarity on this question and will inform you of the
official response.
