Help us be sustainable; small things make a big difference.

Pass The Keys and our hosts are dedicated to the preservation and sustainability of the planet, therefore we are consistently
trying to improve our services for hosts and guests. As such we acknowledge that the energy we use is a finite resource.
During your stay we ask that you be respectful of the resources provided and to help in this mission, we have provided a list of
top tips and recommendations to settle in, enjoy yourself and aid the planet in being conservation friendly.

Thermostat and heating settings.

• While we understand our guests come from all over the world, the recommended level of heating in a British household is 18°C
(64.4°F) as per Gov.uk suggestions. If possible, we’d ask our guests to be careful of using above 21°C (69°F).
• Please ensure that if you are leaving the property the heating is switched off, especially upon check out.
• Using the heating system on the highest setting may compromise boilers and cause leaks, damages and further waste.
• Closing curtains and blinds in the evening aids in keeping the heated air in the building. Keeping you warmer for longer.
• If you’re ever unsure of any heating or plumbing, please message, text or call our guest support line right away and our
dedicated 24/7 Guest Support Team will assist you in anyway they can.

Electricity.

• Turning off lights in rooms not being used is a great start in a energy conscious society.
• Washing clothing on a 30°C wash instead of even a 40°C wash can help in preserving energy by 40% a year.

Your experience is important to us, we thank you for choosing a Pass The Keys property for your stay and wish you a pleasant
time.

Local Area
Supermarkets: Well stocked village shop in walking distance. Morrisons and Coop in
Haddenham, Waitrose and Sainsbury's in Thame For out and out shopping, Bicester
Village is a world-wide destination. If you take the train towards Oxford you will know that
you are approaching it from the welcome on the train in both Mandarin and Arabic as
well as English. It does get very crowded, however the two hours before closing in the
evening (normally 9pm but do check current opening hours) are very pleasant with few
other customers and assistants who are ready to look after you as a great alternative to
restocking the displays!
Places to eat and drink: The Crown in Cuddington is a characterful thatched pub just
two minutes walk away. In neighbouring villages, the Seven Stars at Dinton is a highlight
(but requires booking) as does the Harrow at Bishopstone. The Dinton Hermit is a
charming 17th century Grade II listed country inn in the Hamlet of Ford. In Haddenham,
the House of Spice does a great Indian, Haddenham Garden Centre lunch and tea and
Bradmoor Farm a full English Breakfast. If you would like something grander, Hartwell
House further towards Aylesbury on the A418 is a candidate. Best for tea and cocktails
and the spa… Thame is our local town with huge choice of independent retailers and
eateries as well as the usual suspects. Our favourite is the Black Horse one of the White
Brasserie locations and relatively reasonable. Definitely requires booking though. Also
The Thatch is excellent with a great ambience in the High Street heading out towards
Oxford
Local attractions: Aylesbury has the Roald Dahl museum, cinema and Waterside
Theatre, however for culture, Oxford is the option. When you get there, the Ashmolean
art museum, the Pitt Rivers and Natural History Museum (at the same location), the
Bodleian library and the walk across Christchurch meadows are all glorious and free
apart from special exhibitions and guided tours. The colleges are increasingly difficult to
get into, however evensong in the College Chapels is a wonderful way to visit -
especially New College and Christchurch. Waddesdon House is the local National Trust
visit. Owned by the Rothschild family to this day it has wonderful collections and splendid
gardens. Worth looking for the light show in Winter and concerts in the evening from time
to time.

Airports

Heathrow Airport is one of the closest airports easily accessed by car going
anti-clockwise on the M25. Taxis are also available. Or take the train into London and then
use the Piccadilly or Elizabeth Line which will take you directly to the Airport.
Luton Airport is also very close and accessible via the M1 by car or taxi. Not so easy to
access by train, but there are bus and coaches from main towns.
